Kay in the back 4?

 

Not sure where Aspin has plucked this starting 11 from to be honest, but we will see how it goes.

 

Tonge has been off the pace for a few weeks so I’m not sure why he hasn’t been dropped.

 

I’d have dropped Tonge instead of Anderson. 4-1-3-2 with Kay behind the midfield. Worrall on the right of the 3, Montano on the left then Hannant in the middle.

Back 3 of Kay smith and jules wirh Gibbons and montano as wing backs.

Montano is far too lazy to be a wing back.

That’s the plan, but yeah I agree with you on montano. I suppose if things start to go wrong with him they could go 4 at the back with jules at left back.

Crikey, Aspo's really going for it. Big worry for me is Kay not in front of the defence, which we absolutely need to keep Szmodics quiet. He was really dangerous at their place and, though it should have been given offside, eventually broke through to score. Our back four from last week have really paid the price for their poor performance. Let's see if it all works!

 

PS As I type, Barnet go one up at Cheltenham, so we need 3 points today. And Rico puts one past Crewe at Swindon :smile:

This is a shocking team selection.

 

Why move Kay back into defence when he's been a good midfield destroyer?

Montano isn't a wing back!

Lainton will be off injured at some point, and I don't rate Boot.

Why drop Anderson?

No Whitfield + no Harness = no creativity.

 

We are in a right mess. Can't see anything other than Conference football next season with the current state of the club.
