From my reading of it, the police got there within eight minutes (which must have felt like a lot longer if you were involved) and then shot the aggressors dead. I think that is an amazing response, both in terms of the reaction time and the end result. How would "shoot on sight" look any different?

Legislation needs to be passed to allow our services to deport anyone who is suspected of links with these scum. Innocent until proven guilty is no good when you're dealing with such a vile threat to the lives and liberties of the people of our country. This group of haters are at war with every person on the planet who does not share their beliefs. They are the biggest threat to innocent civilians on the UK mainland since Nazis Germany bombed our country.

 

It is not acceptable to have to wait for an attack before we can act against suspects- lives are already lost, blood already spilled.

 

People in the Muslim community know who the radicalized ones amongst them are. They have a responsibility to help flush these scum out before they act. It is unacceptable for Muslims to try and distance themselves from this problem. They need to be part of the solution to rid our isles of these scum.

 

This is obviously a very sensitive issue that many people feel unable or unwilling to talk about as so many people in our country seem eager to shout 'racist' at anyone willing to air their views. One thing is for certain, the COBRA meetings need to produce some strong positive action that is proactive in ridding the country of the threat rather than merely responding to actual acts of terrorism after they have occurred.
