Steve Brooker - Watford Reserves

Steve McPhee - Coventry Reserves

 

There are some jewels around it takes a bit of finding, but all is not lost very very early days yet

Hope you are right Essex but those 7 players span 30 years approx. They were Jewels just hope we know where to dig to find them.

It could be that we've been relegated and our better players want to stay at league one level.

 

Agents will not be telling their clients to avoid us. They'll be telling them to take the offer that suits them most. Simple as that.

 

You had better hope it doesn't come down to a choice of us and another.

I hope I am right as well :) Yes those players cover a long time span my general point is that there are some good players around, we need a good scouting network to flush them out. I watch a fair amount of National League South games and if I see any likely lads I will flag up to Darren Wrack. It is getting harder because the academies sweep up the good one so early now but there are always late developers. All those listed above fall into the late developers category.

Another over rated player who will drift away like Doug Loft and Billy Knott did. He can be replaced, whether he will be is anyone's guess, I wish him well.

That's the issue for me, Tosh. Wasn't his greatest fan, but the concern is (without regime change) we'll just replace with worse. We seem to be jettisoning what little quality there was.

Ave salary for a Lge 2 player is reported to be 40-50k plus bonuses, for a Lge 1 player 60-75k plus bonuses, can't blame any of the out of contract players for keeping their options open.

I like Foley and would have liked to keep him. But for his wage he doesn't get many goals/assists.
