Lol what the duck has racism and slavery got to do with children playing soldiers and becoming mass murderers, yet letting children play with toy guns will.....

Funny even in your progressive world, black people still call each other n***a.....
It's a tactic to reclaim the word and not allow vile people to lay claim to it, it is ironic - in the way that some gay people are now using the word queer without it being derogatory. Some people have also started deliberately using the English flag and Union Jack in leftist settings to take it back from the fascists, who are really the last people to have claim to it.

Sorry if all this has whizzed over you, might be a bit tricky for you to follow ?

The mind boggles mate

Some on here won't - they are set in stone and resent progress.

Still, while you and your 'mate' ( ! ) have a laugh at water pistols while you read this from your Daily Mail -

ah yes, cowbugs and indywags, home made bats defending chalk wickets, kids don't want to know now unless it's powered by batteries.

no no no, batteries are so passe - full of polluting chemicals, its all wind power now, so you and FUA will be able to play for hours with all the hot air available to you.

Are you living on this planet ? When we were young you made your own toy guns out of sticks and ran around fields pretending to shoot each other, its called imagination, i can honestly say since those days i havent once felt the need to go on a mass killing mission. I suppose they shouldnt make toy soldiers, action men or water pistols either.
Mock the future at your peril, (then again, is it the future or now?)

Another daft essay (the irony being you've obviously never written a real one in your life with your cut & paste plagiarism and ridiculous over use of words). You're either on a wind up or you are in need of medical attention.

I love the attempt on the moral high ground, especially after your sweeping generalisation on the IT profession & quoting the Daily Mail!

As for your daft "mate" jibe, it means friend, an alien concept to the keyboard warrior. I know G4E, in fact I've met lots of people from this website. This is mainly due to me not spending my life regurgitating other people's opinions and trying to be the Vale Park moral compass.

Agree with most of that especially the Brexit comment - how long since the out vote ?? And the faffing about still goes on !! only the rubbish endless soaps have gone on longer

What would you expect to have happened by now? If we are where we would expect to be then there has been no faffing

Bows and arrows because they are dangerous, can soon make a playmate blind in one eye, happened to a lad close to us in Hanley.

Very sad but by that logic cricket should be banned after all people have died after being hit by the ball, rugby union should go (serious injury risk), skiing, gymnastics, darts (lethal in the wrong hands), crossing the road...life is full of risks

And yes I'd say the same thing to the lad's parents.

Let's face it...IT is an industry thatis saddled with older people whom have invested their monies from equity or redundancies to acquire the certifications that are available...most ground level jobs require certifications that require investments of £600 or more and more to take the more specilaised areas...they know...that the IT industry is one where there ARE skills shortages but to fill those skills people need to invest to gain them...most people need to get in some kind of Debt otherwise and let's face it...most people cannot do that.

There is help out there re costs. Obviously it won't meet all needs

https://www.gov.uk/grant-bursary-adult-learners

I disagree that it's saddled with older people.. I'm probably one of these older people but the vast majority of people I work with (and indeed my team) are in their 20s and 30s (unless you consider that to be old).

Undoubtedly the cost of training is a barrier to many (nothing new there) and the govt could do more but equally I know many people who took a chance and sold something to raise cash or went without holidays etc or got into debt to finance their training and are reaping the benefits of that. Sometimes you have to take a chance.

The wider issue is offshoring to India and the Far East where there is an enormous number of trained/qualified staff and few legal issues to overcome....although the latest phenomenon is 'north shoring'.

I don't pretend to have solutions for everything, or even a small amount of things.

There are just one or two little things I would do that in my opinion would improve society, like the idea on toy guns being banned, banning hunting and punishing any form of animal cruelty severely, legalising all drugs and treating drug addiction as an illness, tightening tax laws and stopping any form of offshore investment, renationalising the railways and a few other things, taxing betting with all the money going to the NHS, stopping people fleecing the public and the vulnerable and stealing their pensions or savings, no arms sales to places like Saudi or Qatar, no support for corrupt places like Ukraine, proportional representation, mandatory organ donation cards, just a few teeny little tinkerings that will no doubt prove popular with all on here.

But back to the study - it was interesting, and most posters have found it so and had their two penneth on here, great. It had the purpose to inform and ignite discussion, as I have said a lot of times, Brexit isn't over yet by a long, long way and in my opinion, will not happen in real terms. Moves may be made with dressed-up names, but in reality nothing will change much on trade or borders, we will just all be a bit worse off though.

I'm still not getting any REAl evidence from you of the so-called "selfish & corrupt" Tories. You mention pensions, but omit to remeber that it was Gordon Brown who made the biggest raid in history on yours and my pension pots, not the Tories. NHS spending has gone up under the current government and tax allowances have been increased more than at other time under this administration. Public spending, rather than being tightened (as it should IMO) has grown during the coalition and this current parliament. Let's have some facts please , not the paranoid sprouting that we see above.

Did u see the news this week where dodgy david camorons mother received an award for successfully fighting her sons austerity cuts in her area and keeping open a charity facility his government tried to close to save money. Do u not see that as selfish??
