Voter intelligence

Bea Smith

Recommended Posts

This thread comes across as plain arrogant and cocky, its quite obvious what assumptions and undertones are being made here, you might as well just remove the smug little veil and be out in the open with your contempt.

I dont understand what you personally have against the poor, uneducated folk of britain for a voting decision and why you live in stoke, its self loathing and insulting to the 70% of leave voters of stoke, maybe you should move to a more perfect area of the country.

Personally i didnt finish half my education due to my parents dying and i still run a self made business and have a family, what a lovely kind spirited person, sorry this is my first post but i just find this generally offensive and uncalled for.

Welcome to OVF..your contribution like everyone else's is very welcome

Lots going on in the Vale sections of the forum as well as in this off topic section..it's rarely dull :)

As it is your first post, there might be one or two things you could learn before making a second one -

1. The thread is not making assumptions - YOU are, as I will show. Wrong ones too. The thread was to promote discussion, nothing more, and it is what internet threads are about. Discuss, don't look for motive. If you don't like what I say, argue the opposite - ignore me, I don't exist except as a digital entity.

2. I have nothing against the poor or uneducated and am one of them in that I have virtually no assets (but fortunately no debt either), but I am intelligent according to IQ tests and the like, and have a job and my health.

DONT ASSUME - Your story about your parents is not going to cut any ice with me, as my own parents did not have the finance to send me to uni, even though I had the required entry results. This is why I say I am intelligent but not educated.

Even though it is not your business, and I find it galling that you had to mention your own parents dying in this thread, mine also died far younger than I would have wished and whilst I was/am still not considering myself old - HAPPY NOW ?

I really don't think you should make it necessary for other posters to explain personal circumstances and similar private family things because you have formed a view based on their opinions on something like politics to be honest. Politics are a very small part of life.

Another wrong assumption (not doing too well, are you, even as a mystery first poster ) is that I still live in Stoke - I am in the Rotherham area now, parts of which make the Potteries look like St Tropez. The vast majority of the people are great though, just as they are in Stoke whatever they voted.

Good luck with your 'self-made business' (I hope it isn't fortune telling though) and a family that I hope you don't make so many bad assumptions about, but do tell me - what is it that you finish by saying you find offensive and uncalled for - the thread? my opinion? your own wrong assumptions and view of Stoke?

Anyway, Wendy, I'll make one assumption and hope I am right - that by your user name you like pets,(though you don't sound a very happy cat as your name suggests) as I have a lot of time for both dogs and cats and all other animals, so perhaps you are the 'lovely kind-spirited person' you say, but please don't assume all sorts about people and perhaps offer some views on the thread content itself.:yes:

Have a nice weekend - do you support Vale and have anything to say about them by the way ?

You pretty much confirmed what i said here with all that. I wont waste my time on you though i have better things to do on a friday like make tea for my kids, have a good night. O and thank you johnny :)

Did u see the news this week where dodgy david camorons mother received an award for successfully fighting her sons austerity cuts in her area and keeping open a charity facility his government tried to close to save money. Do u not see that as selfish??

Good on Mrs. Cameron senior--surely that proves the argument that there isn't corruption? Oh, by the way, David Cameron hasn't had anything to do with government for 8 months now!

Not sure 6 years of incompetence and cronyism can be washed away just like that, Bycarsbill. That's a bit like saying "if we go down, Ribeiro is not at fault in any way."

Good, we can at least agree on one thing (above).

And you'll get on well with Johnny Aitch who should mind his own business in telling people where he I live, as it happened I said so but I may not have wanted to.

Hope your kids enjoy their tea - chips off your shoulder with sour grapes to follow is it ?

Except engineering propaganda stunts like the one Fatboysteve exposed above. Some members of the public are just so gullible. Do you really think Cameron doesn't still meet up with his old Eton 'chums' for tea and human sacrifices every now and then?

Another daft essay (the irony being you've obviously never written a real one in your life with your cut & paste plagiarism and ridiculous over use of words). You're either on a wind up or you are in need of medical attention.

I love the attempt on the moral high ground, especially after your sweeping generalisation on the IT profession & quoting the Daily Mail!

As for your daft "mate" jibe, it means friend, an alien concept to the keyboard warrior. I know G4E, in fact I've met lots of people from this website. This is mainly due to me not spending my life regurgitating other people's opinions and trying to be the Vale Park moral compass.

You aren't worth a long answer, suffice to say that anyone whose reply is 'you need medical attention' has lost the argument and been demolished. I quoted the Daily Mail as you might just manage to follow its ramblings, but I am pleased for you and G4E as its important that your sort finds a kindred spirit with the same problems. Shame you can't answer any of the points made, but not really a surprise.

Just as a point of information, Wiki no longer consider the Daily Mail as a reputable source of information. My opinion on intelligence is that it is something that you are born with, how it is nurtured is a question of the availability of education and the opportunity by time and money, and also the drive to improve, or push by others. Of course intelligence is also wide ranging.

I have never considered the Daily Mail as a reputable source of information myself. I am not 100 per cent happy with Wiki either, but they are far better than the Mail.

It was one of several links, which I tried to make wide ranging and from opposite ends of the political spectrum, that all just showed the poster that it is not an amusing fantasy to ban toy guns - it is actually happening.

The references were purely to show this point, and yet the poster came back with a shedload of abuse saying I cant write and had to cut and paste - rather silly as they were news items.

For what it's worth, I'd tend to agree with what you say on intelligence, though have read many other interesting things on what can affect it - one of the most fascinating being nutrients improving it and toxins (particularly lead in petrol and pesticides) lowering it drastically.

I'll refrain from any cheap jokes at this point, but apparently that is one reason lead was removed from petrol many years ago.

'Smart' drugs can also improve intelligence according to some.

I think the one thing this thread has shown is that the BBC item was well worth issuing, as it has provoked such emotion, and the subject is far from being done and dusted.

Let's just be clear, you're a copy & paste artist who tries to cover their insufficiencies with long winded tripe. Your attempted attention seeking is pitiful; I genuinelly think you need help, your behaviour isn't normal.

I can only presume you persist with your attempts to cleanse OVF's social conscious because you got shot down on the Mirror's comment section and think a football forum is safer for your non-existent ego.
