A question to smurf

I feel a bit of sympathy for Smurf. I don't know if he understands football as well as he might but he's certainly kept us afloat and put his money where his mouth is. I think the current manager has let him down a bit with his poor signings.

If they are in fact his signings

I know one thing people should now realise especially Norman and that is what a good front man Tom Pope was and his ''I can replace him for less money'' was a crazy claim.

Norman proven goal scorers cost good wages.

Jones doesnt seem to cost that much.....Forrester back this week too.

If we can sort our away form out, we have a great chance this season

Not this rubbish again. Pope was really poor for us before he left and left for a much much better deal and hasn't exactly been brilliant at bury! Move on! He isn't a proven goal scorer at this level.

At the beginning of the season smurf told the media that some of Bruno's new signings would be sold on at Christmas time. Given that smith can not be included in this as he is in no way a product of the Bruno regime.

I am sure that only a few weeks until santa we would all like to know which of this amazing pool of talent is proving most popular with premier league managers. Which pemiership managers are constantly mithering him. Do you answer them Norman or do you treat them like an 0800 numbers. Will we see the big money from the sale of Bruno's chain of talent re invested in the squad.

This is a bloke who approached Izale Mcleod - through a fake twitter account of him - and disclosed the wages would be £250 a week if on bench. £500 a week if starting. £500 per goal scored and team bonus'.

How unprofessional can you get?

I don't expect anything.

Lee Sinnot talked a right good game but never delivered.

Smurf potentially has wasted 100,000's (again) with the foreign venture and could have signed some championship players and accept a smaller squad.

Exactly, he's never scored more than 16 at L1 level, & I fully expect Jones to surpass that (provided we keep him).

Some people have obsessions with certain players.

I really believe we have a best squad we have had in a long time. Bruno really struggles to set his team up correctly but is a good in-game tactican and can adapt quicker than most managers. Problem is by the time we are making this adaptions we are already loosing and 50% through the match.

Say what you like but we have missed a big, physical target man like Pope big style.

To say he isn't a proven scorer at this level is daft, but goals apart what you are forgetting is his overall contribution to the team - his experience and know-how, his never say die attitude and 100% commitment in wearing the shirt, his ability to hold up the ball and move us up the pitch, his aerial ability in both boxes, his sheer physical presence in creating space for others. Need I go on? You can't name a single player in our squad of 35 who has all those attributes - not one.

In terms of his all-round contribution to the team he was a big loss. Anyone who has ever played football to a reasonable level will tell you how important players like him are to the team, even just sitting in the changing rooms beforehand, looking around you and contemplating the battle ahead.

Jaap stam first managerial job at reading, playing a style that Bruno is also trying to adopted ,playing out from the back, did not go down well with there supporters but as stuck to is guns and perceived , give Bruno time. Watched highlight on vale player of charlton game, first goal was good one, second from miss placed pass and caught on the break right on half time that's football. Agree we are missing strong front runner that can hold the ball up to allow mid field to join in, but that's what most clubs dream of. Please mr chairman give the management you appointed time,a new manager new direction still no guarantee of success , 15 +years of turmoil , stability first please, good luck to the lads tomorrow I'll be there.
