loved to have seen Varney, Best ,Armstrong or Le Fondre at vale , but would have thought wages would be the problem with these strikers . However would fancy Sullay Kaikai if he isnt already out on loan .

Wouldn't be too upset with that. Proven strikers are bound to fail eventually. I'm sure our forwards looked better than Southends the other week and their two strikers are very proven. I'm happy to see these lads have a go. especially as Jones looks very decent.

Its always difficult to decide if a player is good or not when he only gets played out of position... if you played alnwick on the wing would that mean he is no good?
