18th and still tumbling

If we stay up I'll be happy - based on where we were when he took over. I'm not sure he's the man for the job long term though. Part of me thinks this is Mickys team and Page deserves a chance, part of me thinks I've seen some bizarre decisions while he's been in charge and we need a new manager.

We don't need a new team. We need strengthening in the Rudge way. 3 or 4 off the bottom of the squad replaced by players who will immediately go to the top of the squad.

My major worries are two fold. The Chairman insisting on a playing budget based on ST sales without investment from himself and even worse a Vale friend who frequents Tommys pre match said that word in there the other night is that Deano will be made Manager. Did anyone else who was in Tommys hear this and where did it come from?

IF IF The comment about Deano being manager is true then Smurf will be shooting himself in the foot big time.Even if Smurf is playing mind games by saying this it will backfire on him and cost him.

A decision of that nature would surely suggest that Smurf is tired of life. No way.

Rosler all day for me... Lives 40 mins away, out of work....... has managed a team of similar size (Brentford) in this division, so why not?

An out of work manager needs to get back in the game....

His win percentage is excellent too

Lillestrøm 43.64%

Viking 41.57%

Molde 75.00%

Brentford 44.12%

Wigan Athletic 40.00%

Total

Games 343 Won 149 Drawn 98 Lost 96 Win % - 43.44%

it all depends on the man at the top, anything else is pure speculation.

The name I heard last night on more than one occasion was Noel Blake.

Was sitting near to Lee Blakeman during the home game v MK or Colchester. Cannot recall which but was mentioned during the commentary. Quite a good record at England under 19 coach, but poor at Exeter. Maybe he was invited to give Smurf insight into any future young stars.
