It certainly looks like the writing is on the wall for Page at the end of the season. Thinking about the right candidate to replace him, why don't we go for some one who has fairly close local connections, is out of work and has an excellent playing career history (He has won the league title with Everton)

 

He also has won the youth cup with Norwich which makes him, without doubt, someone who can make our Development kids better and, taking into account, that there is not any money we need somebody to transform the kids into playing at league One (or Two) level, then Adams, who has brought certain players from youth to playing in the championship with Norwich, almost certainly would have something to prove locally and to relaunch his managerial career.

 

Norman, get rid of Glover and Grew and pick the phone up and give Neil Adams a call.

He also took Norwich down, started well this season and then tailed off really badly with possibly the best squad in the league and got sacked.

 

Personally I think we need someone with experience.

wont work round here, money is hard to come by in s-o-t,stoke north central and south are in the bottom 4 of the national league of deprived low pay areas so the product has to have an appeal and at present quality is very low.

Personally I think that would be a huge mistake. He has a squad more than Capable of a top half finish and we are in a relegation battle.

My worry is not stopping up this season, but what next season will bring with our limited resources.

we don't need a director of football,we aren't in Europe yet,all we need is an astute competent hands on manager with full control of the playing side with his own coaching staff, given a budget to work with and let him get on with it.no page,grew,glover and no interference.

I'm in the real world and that group of players are better than the club's League position suggests- far better

Some time its better the devil you know, Its a learning curve for all. Had 10 year of getting deeper and deeper in dept with no real direction. Smurf starting to get things right, If he thinks Page is the right choice so be it, never please all the people all the time. o.v.f is flooded with guests, We dont Know their views, But a few on here, control the direction of most threads. Get in the real world. The squad is good enough for mid table. The manager and especially his coaching bod's aren't, it's as simple as that.

 

If your tactics are negative, the coaching limited and then the team selection / substitued are bizarre - then it's no wonder we have no belief, confidence and chance.
