..as they are announced stick em in here

Brazil http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27312691

That looks the weakest Brazil squad that I have seen in quite some time,..possibly ever

Couldn't agree more, what we all admire Brazil for is skill, creativity, samba football, how can Coutihno not be included, where's the Gerson, Zico etc, perhaps even from a country of 250m+ people it's not always possible to produce outstanding creative talent. That lot look like a load of runners and croggers but home country advantage will no doubt see them through.

Cole has paid the price for not playing enough at Chelski this season. Shame really because I think he's always been excellent for England.

Agree. Cole has been one of the few truly world-class players for England over the last 12 or so years, and has rarely had a poor game for his country.

I recall being at Lisbon's Stadium of Light for the Euro 2004 quarter-final against Portugal where Cole was absolutely magnificent up against Cristiano Ronaldo, marking him out of the game.

England's best ever left-back? (just ahead of Pearce for me)

As for the squad, I'll be delighted if the rumours of Carrick and Cleverley's exclusions are true.

The 3 Man Utd selections are my only complaints. Not just because Man Utd have had a poor year by their standards but as I don't really think any of them are good enough at international level. Added to that Carrick and Cleverly on standby hardly fills me with joy either should anyone get injured in training before they go!

Welbeck imo is living off the reputation of that goal against Sweden in the Euro's. Whilst it was a good goal it's one moment in one game, his record for United has been frankly awful for 2 seasons since! How many goals has he scored? Whilst I like the idea of going with the younger players I'd have picked Defoe over him. Has never let anyone down in an England shirt despite getting limited chances over his career and yet has a good scoring record for England. I suspect the move to Mickey Mouse football in the MLS has cost him there which is a shame!

It's a pity the lad Rodriguez at Soton got crocked as he's another I'd have taken over Welbeck but that's football!

Don't disagree with any of the others the Liverpool players and Barkley are young(Gerrard and Johnson aside) and in good form, hopefully they'll have the energy to give us a chance in hot conditions at times over there!
