I too think Morsy should be in the squad but he isn't a miracle cure for our ills.

This long thread tends towards suggesting that if he played we'd win all our games.

He might be as good as we've got but he isn't that good.

Most teams in the league have one central midfielder who is better than ours.

Chesterfield had 2 or 3. Togwell ran it.

Are people actually having a go at Adams? 2 bad results and we're back to slating a man who hasn't spent anything and got us to 2nd in a league containing Chesterfield, Fleetwood, Gillingham, Bradford and co ... all big spenders either on fees or wages.

Vale fans are fickle as ****. Let him see out the season, we're just on a dip.

The danger with all this discussion about Morsy is that we will start to think he is better than he is. In time Morsy will return to the team but he will lack confidence and will end up passing the ball square and pulling out of tackles in case he gets it wrong. It will become a case self fulfilling prophesy. Then some will feel Adams was right and Morsy is useless. You would never hear a top class manager criticise a player like Adams did.At the end of the day Adams is 50 and in the lowest tier of the football league. You have got to ask yourself why is this if he is the messiah that some on here feel he is.

Sam Morsy is, and will continue to be in our current squad, the most naturally gifted footballer we've got. He needs nurturing not being thrown onto the scrapheap. He's better than a hell of a lot of players in this division, hes a breath of fresh air being surrounded by a bunch of fairies. His agression needs enhancing but controlling so his discipline is in check. Better than he thinks he is? that would be difficult to achieve.

I would very much like to hear Micky Adams thinking on the Sam Morsy issue. I can understand his anger at the sending off but I'm not sure I can understand his actions since. I think most folk will agree that Morsy has had a decent season up to that daft red card. Suddenly though, from thinking he was a first choice midfielder, Adams seems to have decided that Morsy isn't even good enough to sit on the bench.

Last season, Clayton McDonald was sent off twice. His first offence produced a one match ban - he came straight back into the team for the next game. The second red card was a result of a seriously stupid second yellow at Crawley when we were drawing the game - we lost. McDonald served a two match ban then came straight back into the team. Whilst's Morsy's red was stupid and may well have contributed to losing us 2 points, the dimissal didn't happen until 20 minutes from the end of the game and to be frank, we could have hung on to the points if different subs had been made. Clayton's second yellow and dismissal at Crawley was ludicrous and led to us playing all bar two minutes of the second half with 10 men.

Adams may well have good reason for what he is doing but to the outsider it looks like a case of double standards. Adams may not like Morsy - he doesn't have to - nobody is asking them to be best friends. All I want is their relationship to be professional and in the best interests of the team. Imho, he would have been a far better sub to bring on to hold on to the win today than Rob Taylor - the player who almost lost us the game in the last round.

As I say, there may be good reasons for Adams' actions - I just wish he would explain what they are.

I think Sam Morsy Should ask MA about the 19th of August 1992, Loftus Rd, MA made history for all the wrong reason,
