McDonald wins very few headers and regularly loses the man he's marking . Dont be taken in by all those bullets he sends flying into the opposition net from our dead ball kicks. I agree he plays some good balls out of defence though.

Must disagree with some of this - McDonald has been immense in some games this season (Bradford, Fleetwood, Burton & Rotherham) & has won most his headers. He does go missing on occasions I agree & also lacks some pace but overall he's much improved on last season & deserves His place in the side.

That must have been when I was having a wee then. For example how many free headers did Zola have at Burton ? If he'd been half decent he would have had a hat trick. Pay attention.

Chilvers will fit in well with the current squad and we couldn't risk Christmas with one reserve centrehalf.

Not surprised we haven't signed a leftback as the overall standard of leftback from the championship down is woeful. There hasnt been a good one at Vale Park this season so god knows how bad the ones available on loan are.

We do badly need someone to cover Pope if injured or suspended as Williamson and Dodds are inside forwards not centreforwards. Would much prefer Dagnall to Hughes. I can live with the drink driving and manslaughter as mistakes. Not so sure I will ever pay to watch asomeone who then feels it is alright to run off leaving someone dying in the road.
