No vendetta from me pal. Just objective comment about his definite lack of kicking ability.

What kicking was bad today? Made a lot of saves recently and much more than Amos.

If you’re still travelling, safe journey.

That was one of the best ever SVA displays, and the more so because of the result.

Obviously we made some daft defensive errors which led to at least half of the goals, but the biggest issue for me were the wide men - I’m mainly talking about Waine here.

Every time we had the ball in the full back/LCB positions, if you look at Waine’s position he was awful. He was always facing the wrong way (towards our goal) and not looking to play off the last man, which is strange because it’s something he’s usually so good at playing off the left.

Hall did look to do this when he came on but Ojo was far too slow in releasing the ball.

That was another issue - we seemed to want to take too many touches. We ended up going backwards and giving the ball away in bad areas. We might as well tried to play a forward ball.

Garrity I thought worked hard and did well - especially in the air - but he needed to be in the middle. He’s clearly not a wide player. He’s a great no.10 in that he works hard to make a midfield three and works even harder to make a front two, giving us that physicality and bite that allows you to not need a target forward. We really need to play him to his strengths rather than asking him to do a job just because he can.

Gordon had a mare today unfortunately. I think he’s a good full back or even LCB when he’s fully focused on defending, but he’s not a wing back at all. He struggles to do both sides of the game.

Gabriel and Walters looked like actual footballers. Ojo too but as I said before he was far too conservative. His free kicks were good though and he needs to be on all set pieces from now until the end of the season.

That all being said, I’m still proud of our cup run. Didn’t go how we wanted it to but when one of their players costs more than our entire football club, really they should be battering us.

Another ground ticked off. Season ticket renewed. Let’s look forward to a good season next year.

I agree with a lot of that. BUT…. Are we know of a footballing culture where it’s so coach driven and micro managed that we never stood a chance if you match them 11 against 11 with that style?

Where were the tackles?
Where were the long balls without an isolated forward?
Where were any of our players (pains me to say but Ojo aside) getting in their faces?
Smash them early. This is our pitch. I see nothing like that anymore from a Vale side.

You can’t win duels against Chelsea.
You can’t press them.
You can’t go through the <ovf censored> thirds and other football manager garbage that’s come into the game this last 5 years or so.
You’ve GOT to make it ugly and make it a Sunday league game when basically you have sunday league players compared to them!

We played tappy football when we had the ball. Had no quality. Showed minimal fight.
And had we just launched it and made it ugly we would have no way lost 7-0 and we are lucky that was the scoreline.

The fans represented Port Vale today.
Im sorry to be harsh but those players don’t.
They really don’t.

Game was killed as a spectacle in the first minute. We don't come from behind and were t about to buck that trend against Chelsea of all teams.

This side couldn't fight it's way out of a paper bag with a pair of scissors. The sooner the season is put to bed the better. This is not a team in the image of Port Vale, it's a team in the image of Darren Moore. Hopefully the money generated, ironically, will allow us to cut ties with most of this lot come the end of the season. That could be the only positive.

It was a dreadful performance. We were always going to lose 5/6 - 0 but to concede off a corner after a minute. To give what 4 goals away with defensive errors. To being Magloire on and instantly give away a penalty. I’ve come away embarrassed by this side. Not proud of the journey. <ovf censored> awful. Get the gone

I’m signing off mate. Because I could spend 5 hours on how bad that signing has been.

And that’s my worry with Brady.

The club needs a whole restructure in the summer.

I’m not sure I can take this forum seriously when whoever did the match report gave gauci man of the match

He made a couple of routine saves and didn't keep smashing it at people in the crowd. By his standards it was brilliant.

It’s a tricky one that, I thought after the first goal when I really did fear double figures we were decent for the 25 minutes until their second, had the half chance Waine couldn’t get on the end off but we left that left hand side so exposed, Gordon will get stick but he was up against Neto often alone in so much space.

The set pieces upset me the most and I thought Gauci had a mare today, first goal is a poor punch, didn’t show any confidence on any corners. Parried everything often into danger zones.

John did well, Gabriel and Rhys did well and thought Sheriff worked hard and actually tried to get stuck in.

Id have taken the 5-0 but the late two goals soured it for me, lot of individual errors which frustrated, but on the cold light of day this Chelsea side went away in previous rounds won 5-1 at Championship Charlton and 4-0 at Hull who are having a decent season so they are no mugs and we are an injury hit side that’s 15 adrift in the third tier.

One thing we can be so proud of though is our support.

After the first minute disaster I thought we held our own for 15 minutes or so, but then went to bits. I just don't know what we were trying to do today, the shape was all over the place. Any short pass was out of place and any long ball was never going to stick or create anything because we were absolutely powder puff throughout. And as we've seen many times with Vale and other underdogs, if you can't outplay them then you have to outfight them, disrupt them and hope for the best. We got nowhere near them.

I thought Ojo, Gabriel and John came out with credit but overall it was another in a long list of forgettable performances.

I thought we might lose by double figures but predicted 8-0, so 7 so was a better outcome. But it comes to something when you are happy that Vale weren't quite as <ovf censored> as you thought they might be.

For next season, keep John, Gabriel and G. Hall, the rest I would like to see the back of.

The culture starts at the top. We're a community centre, not a serious football club. We are soft to the core on and off the pitch and I think even the likes of Ben Garrity has lost his abrasive edge - or doesn't see the point in scrapping when he's surrounded by characters who look like they'd cry if they were bollocked.

Today was an utter embarrassment because it happened in front of 38,000 people and millions watching on TV. It wasn't just the scale of the defeat but the abysmal surrendering so tamely.

It seems if you patronise fans often enough they'll have "a great day out" they'll believe it. But has anyone truly had a great day watching us getting pumped? Watching a lab experiment merging Faal, Uche and Umolu into something called a Sherif being absolutely useless? Can you imagine Andy Porter or Pope tolerating that showing today?

Absolutely and thoroughly pissed off tonight - maybe the true extent of the shambles is going to become apparent now this game has gone.

Your point about Ben is the one I want to take out of that.
I totally agree.

When we last got relegated Ben was in tears. Heart on his sleeve.

I sense that Ben doesn’t see this football club culturally, like it was a few years ago.
I can see him going for a new challenge next season. Probably on the same league as we will be in.

I honestly worry about next season.
Im still not sure Brady is the right man and the last time we were in league two and got promoted we had to spend 14 million with 6 million losses.

That is not sustainable.

When all is said and done that was pretty grim today.

That’s laughable and if anyone else believes that then there is the problem with the club right there. Standards are far too low.

I have been enjoying my weekend away thanks to the Vale but the match was the worst bit of it. Thanks to the Vale!
