Weirdly, that was a carbon copy of the Wycombe game last week. So anybody saying “oh well it’s Chelsea worthy a billion quid” should have a think about that. Both Wycombe and Chelsea never got out of second gear.

I thought exactly the same.

Limp.

I can take a 7 - 0 drubbing  by the world champions but Vale can fudge right off, can't be arsed to come over to clap the fans at the end, Gray more arsed in getting Garnacho shirt & Brady, quick clap then off to Chelsea boxes to clap his family than the fans fook fook right off, bunch of *******

Our fans are a credit.

Our players are not!

Spot on.

Could extend that to our club isn't at the present moment in time. Roll on summer and some serious souls searching. Don't count on any lessons being learned though as it's seems to be something we have serious difficulties with.

Snap. I think these lads have now stopped playing for Brady too.

Totally agree. I'm maybe one of the early ones  declaring not buying a season ticket next season, totally based on the lack of fight, desire, intent. Some may say if you're a fan you're a fan....but I'm also not hypocritical. They don't deserve my time on a Saturday any more. Lessons learned last time we were relegated?? Please explain the lessons that were learnt. FA cup run or not.

On the coach back. Liam Gordon was a dogs breakfast, and on reflection over the whole game, think Hall and Archer would have been better than Garrity and Sherif but in reality we were going to lose that unless Chelsea didn’t turn up. They were professional, played with tempo and tore us apart.

I don’t really think comparing it to Wycombe is all that helpful. We should have done better on set pieces, but that’s all. Chelsea’s quality shone through.

I’d really like to see the youth players blooded into the first team for the league now. Let’s start the L2 rebuild. Seasons over, may as well make a head start. I don’t know if players are still playing for Brady or not. But they lack structure and consistency with the squad being what it is.

PS. Is Onel Hernandez just a mascot for the club as he seems to be a total waste of wages if he couldn’t make the bench for this one.

&& on the matchday experience at the game. Crowd were great, the view from Shed Upper good, but stadium amenities leave a lot to be desired. Rotherham’s ground and experience is better.

Don’t know what we’re paying Andre Gray but can we cut the strings now..His days as a professional footballer are behind him

Just interesting a Vale fan living in Brum has no idea whatsoever what trying, passion and pride is. You must have such a boring life if you think any of the 2nd half was ok. You must have been a trainspotter as a lad.
Sorry but you just wound me up.
Please bring back the good Port Vale.

Of course I know what effort, passion and pride are. Just because I live in Birmingham doesn’t mean I don’t go when I can.

Slightly ridiculous comments to be honest. Of course I want them to do well. Jesus.

Do you really think once it was 4-0 or so they were suddenly going to become a different side??

Just wound me up that people get on their backs like they have all season, some of it fair, after a game like today, when Chelsea were always going to be different gravy.

At the very least, we did not lose as much as Exeter did against man city

In a couple of months time most of their players will be "over the pond" playing in a World Cup - whereas most of ours will be looking for a job.

Only our fans really come out of that with any credit but that's Vale for you this season.

They're going to Wembley we're going to York.

Great day out in York...some good boozers 👍😁🍺🍺

The result was not as bad as I was expecting, but it showed how poor we are especially in midfield and up front, no ideas, no guile, just went out with a whimper like we will drop out of league one. Another " summer" rebuild, hopefully this time there will be a plan of systems we want to play and recruit wisely unlike the last few years.
