Who in their right mind would want to come?
Big money. Big contracts. Protected. I’d say there would be dozens of applicants.
Secondly, it’s not too late.
Peterborough were dreadful and looked doomed weeks ago. They sacked their manager and now have won 5 out of 7.
If Carol pulls her finger out, we could have a run like that with a new manager and give ourselves hope.

On to last season, we would not have gone up if we didn’t have Tolaj.
Now we are in a league higher, without Tolaj and fans waxing lyrical over Ojo. And yes I know he’s injured but if you were waxing lyrical about him, it just shows how bad we’ve been and why we are a country mile away from anyone at the bottom.

The whole thing is an absolute footballing mess.

Tolaj with his comeback hat-trick today has scored 14 goals himself in 18 games this season so far, that's one more than ALL our players have managed in 20 games. Maybe the £1.2 mill transfer wasn't good business after all?!!

Interim manager for me , experienced non nonsense type - 6 month deal , keep us up , then have a look at it in the summer .

Like Steve Evans? Oh wait…

I have never seen so much bo11ocks posted on a fan website ever.Every one can pick a team better than any manager. Every one has got 15 million to put into a football club and then get dogs abuse.Today Clark had severe cramp but of course a  16 year old could seamlessly replace him.against their most dangerous player.Hall was moved back and a forward was brought on.Of course it’s all down to Moore. He needs to players who don’t get injured.Hall was a disgrace for dislocating his shoulder.Clark could hardly walk but so what.Get on with it you girl.If I was Carol I’d tell you to stick your football club up your arse and ride out of Dodge with my 15 million.

thick as pig <ovf censored> post.

If our owner wants to be stubborn then I'm following her lead. I'm done after today and I'm taking my Saturdays back until further notice. We've been turned into a laughing stock.

5 successive homes without a goal.

September 20th last time we scored.

Our next home is New years day.

So minimum of 102 days without a home league goal.

What a stat. Must be another record Moore has broke in our 150th celebratory season.

Phil Sherwin’s having a busy season.

It wasn`t a business deal, it was a player using his rights unfortunately in August.

Especially this time of year.

Go to the ground. Get soaked. Freezing cold. Can’t enjoy a half time drink or pie because of the inept agency staff serving who are as slow as snails. Sit and watch turgid football. Don’t score goals. Don’t win games. Get angry. Hurl abuse at referees. Hurl boos at the players and managers. Go to the car. Freezing cold. Soaked. And all for around 40-50 quid on the day.

Now I’m all for these people saying support your club and cliche crap like pack the park, but if that’s value for money then people need to give their heads a wobble.

Either she acts and sacks him in 48 hours or watch us get drubbed in the next two away games and expect 3000 home fans, if that, going forward, because right now there is absolutely no point whatsoever in going to watch that rubbish.
Fans will be like you.
If the owner can’t be arsed to sort it then why should fans line her pockets.

We are too nice and cosy.

Everything is all too lovely and twee, other than the football.

We've an old boys network of plod running the stewarding and stadium management all very cosy. Diversity officials. Umpteen positions of nothingness.

We used to occasionally be mentioned as a horrible place to visit , a club with an edge to it.

Now we have zero atmosphere/ banter. No interaction with away fans during the game.

We barely boo or get angry. It's all far removed from Vale Park of days gone by.

Yes the Hamil is nice, I'm sure the corporate is lovely.

The match day experience is dull and devoid of passion or excitement.

And I'm not advocating running battles on the Hamil road after the game as in the past.

Just some sort of oomph to a soulless experience. It's mind numbingly boring.

Carol never understood the home/away fan thing, and I don't think she's particularly attuned to fan trends and moods (I'll never forget the time she thought fans shouting Amoooo when he was being brought on were actually booing him onto the pitch!). Time and again she shows such naivety -putting the mat down for Northampton to walk all over our efforts in the Covid season as some kind of fair-play stance, not kicking up any kind of stink about Reading's antics 2 years ago, then offering the same club cheap tickets this season! Being pals with all the managers then having to stop being friends to sack them.

What we have now is a great-looking ground which is indeed safe and all the other in-phrases (inclusive, safe space etc), but it's thoroughly dull. They've alienated the kind of fan who made the atmosphere in favour of a family picnic vibe. I witnessed a guy being asked to leave the ground for using the f-word not so long ago!

Next up....a ground-sized scarf with all 92 clubs on it and group hugs.

Toxic ‘fan’

The more you think of it, the more Hancock’s appointment as CEO is a joke. And shows very clearly Carol doesn’t have a clue what she’s doing.

What qualifications or experience does he possibly have for such a role? A quick google shows his degree was in ‘Sports Coaching & Development’ - so not at all related to the running of a business.

His experience is basically entirely running community projects, with him being head of community at burton and community director at Vale before his promotion to CEO. Again, nothing related to running a business.

He also has no background in professional football to advise on that part. So we have a CEO in place with no prior experience of professional football, and no prior experience of running a business.

Can’t blame him for this as obviously anyone would take the promotion. Just terrible decision making from the owners.

It’s difficult to justify going and the decent increase in fans will be undone because by the time we play Blackpool for example we likely will be double figures from safety and the league games will essentially be dead rubbers to us.

Its a really hard watch.

Years gone by id be stressed if we were struggling, would ruin my weekend, would be doing all the mathematics and scenarios through my head but I’m pretty nonplussed. If the club don’t want to change it and give us a chance what’s the point getting worked up by something beyond my control? I’ve never ever felt like that before about Vale. The DC season when we nearly went down I was a mess those last 2-3 weeks before Barnsley bailed us out drawing 4-4 v MK. The relegation I was frustrated as it was so avoidable and felt the lessons of the previous season didn’t get learnt but enjoyed last season and felt we’d put it right by bouncing back and we’d learn and get it right this time…

3rd time in 4 seasons we haven’t so it’s hard. We’ve been pretty diabolical for 2.5 seasons of the last 4… it’s hard to keep caring when it’s that bad.
