Sobering to think that an absolutely abysmal Plymouth on the day we lost to them , are now closer to the play offs than ourselves.

9 points off play offs.

10 points above us.

Ive stopped going now. And it’s probably too late to change things now. My worry is that carol will stick with Moore even if we get relegated, as hes got promotion before. But I couldnt even cope with watching a Moore promotion team any more, never mind a relegation one. If people think getting rid of Moore is costly, then they need to also account for the drop in season tickets/walkups

I wonder what those lovely fellas who abused my family for questioning Moore last season are up to tonight. Was that bad we moved to the Lorne Street.

The bald fella, was on crutches last season, back of the Railway right of halfway. Always hammered and looking for a fight with his thick mates. Doesn’t go a home game without offering someone out.

Same thing happened when we wanted V2001 out. The abuse I received off some of the older contingent was horrific. The attitude that they were above us rabble, while simultaneously verbally and physically attacking us nearly turned me away from the club for good.

You and Alan are really struggling with the fact youve dug in so deeply and your ego wont allow you to admit you are wrong.

From what Carol said in hospitality he still won’t be going anywhere.

well im a season ticket holder and im currently not going to the games because its <ovf censored> awful every week.

The silence is golden!🤔

And if they are putting their money into other clubs why would they come and do it at Vale.
Ridiculous
I'm saying that there are clearly people out there willing and able to do this. It's happening up and down the country. To suggest that there is no one else out there in the entire world of business that would be unwilling to throw money at a football club is naive.

Have they all <ovf censored> off yet. Carol matt paddy darren get out of our club. Delusional vanity project extraordinaires

If they are going to sack him, every hour counts.

They’ve already done probably irreparable damage to PVFC by neglecting this very obvious decision since Plymouth.

Every hour he remains in situ is an hour less appointing a new man before January, and an hour less of preparation they’ll have for this run of games in quick order.

The fact he wasn’t gone by 6pm last night and Carol was telling hospitality what a good 2025 we’ve had continues my view that we are a rudderless ship guided by IT people who really don’t understand football particularly well.

He either goes this morning or it’s further negligence which will always be held against the Shanahans - entirely of their own doing.

Edited by JoeB2

What will be very galling is, after a series of very avoidable balls up which the fans have sounded the alarm for repeatedly, Carol will cut her directors loans next season and the optimism will be nuked.

It’s her right to do so. It’s her money. But it’s also her fault that her money is being wasted as she continues to ignore, patronise, and resent the average fan who warned her in 2024 and have warned her again in 2025.

PVFC and its fans will pay for the price for the board putting their head in the sand and making a laughing stock of us. If we think things are bad this year, wait until Carol decides she’s had enough as her own poor decision making comes home to roost.

They did it last time we were in Lg 1.  Left it too late.  Doing the same again.  Obviously not hear one of many DM after match chats saying we will learn from this.

If he stays then Lg 2 will be confirmed by the end of January as we will not win anymore games under him.

Tell me who.

There's a famous saying about losing money in football.

You also need to be careful what you wish for. One word: Smurfwait

But by your logic, if Carol is so brilliant, then there are also good people out there to buy clubs?

You can’t have it both ways! If Carol goes we might end up with another Smurthwaite, but we couldn’t end up with another Carol? Terrible argument. Illogical.

I also hate the ‘tell me who’ fallacy, as how many EFL owners had you heard of before they bought their club? It’s a nonsense. Fans don’t know all the wealthy businesspeople of England.

At the end of the day Carol is currently doing a fairly poor job and it looks like we’ll have made zero on-field progress in her 7 years.

She can cut it . Get her gone. I want a team i can get behind. Ive had enough of turgid football ever since our last time in league one she has completely neglected it. And ive had enough cut the loans <ovf censored> her off . Someone will buy us and it they dont id have more fun us doing a bury than I would at the monent atleast they are building something together where our owner clearly gives zero <ovf censored> about us

There's always that risk isn't there? I don't have a crystal ball but to suggest that there is no one out there with the will and means to throw money at a football club is just plain wrong. As Joe says, I don't have an encyclopediac knowledge of all the wealthy business people out there but there are at least half a dozen business people in our league who we've probably never heard of who are doing a better job than Carol. Fear of change can be the death knell of any business.

That’s a bit far.
Carol isnt rinsing the club.
It’s in a better place than when they took over. However, not on the pitch. And that’s all fans care about.

What she needs to do is start being a leader. Not that fanny Matt Hancock, not her delusional son, HER.
She needs to go all Maggie Thatcher and sort this <ovf censored> out. Now.
Throw her silly pom pom scarf away. Stand up and be counted and if she can’t because she’s clueless then employ someone who can.

Heads must roll.
Moore. The coaching staff. And Hancock.
That’s a start.
Starting on Monday.

Well that’s all us fans care about to be honest what goes on the field and I’ll be honest on the field we’re no better off in her tenure than any other owner we’ve had in fact other owners have at least  made us competitive in this division and exciting not absolutely pathetic.

It’s genuinely a bit crushing when you clock that, after 7 years, we’ve gone nowhere under the Shanahans.

Some great memories, cancelled out by some horrendous ones. Great community stuff which will have to be scaled back as revenue craters. The ground looks a bit better for the same hardcore who were here in the dark days. Thousands of fans gained and then almost immediately lost.

The net progress by May 2026 will be pretty much zero.

I’m not one to expect or demand the 2nd tier, but I truly thought we’d had at least had a few seasons in the third. Is that really so much to ask? What we had under Smurthwaite and Bratt, for Christ’s sake.

This need not be an emotional decision for Carol, just an evidence based one. DM you are a lovely guy who has given it his best shot but it obviously isn't working for either of us. Thank you for your efforts, wish you well in the future and we both move on.  Job done. Now is the time for that conversation to be had, possibly should have been sooner but needs to be had by Monday latest.
