The clamour for Moore to go is not unexpected. However, Carol won't press the panic button just yet. She will only do so when she absolutely has to because a new manager for the moment can only use the same squad.

I believe she will give him until the end of the month before considering replacing him unless things get really dire as the last two league games have been.

Don't be surprised if she gives him until after the Bristol Rovers game in December to try and turn things around. After all, doesn't he still have 4 years of his contract to go in theory?

It's a rolling contract that's reviewed at the end of every year so there will be no big cimp package involved, would like to see carol take decisive action and bin off Darren now

Liam.Manning would be a good appointment , He's available

And his team's play good football ,

This is what we get for signing known crocks though. What did all Blackpool fans say when we signed him? ‘Good when fit’. Sick of signing crocks.

What a pile of <ovf censored>. I take you have seen the injury that he sustained. When the defender put the tackle in he ripped his ankle ligaments and has needed surgery. Nothing to do with being a crock. Just a freak accident

I wonder if the pair of you can spell or learn the English language by the end of the season?

Better odds on staying up 😉 😛

I still think a more astute tactical manager would have kept us up in League one when he first arrived with the number of games we had left despite a poor squad. Moore’s record in League 1 with us is dire. Like others have said, league 2 is probably his level. The recruitment over the summer was poor and combine that with poor team selections, poor tactics and poor substitutions then you can see why we currently sit second bottom of League 1. Fortunately, there are still plenty of games left and a January transfer window to come to get rid of some of the poor signings and hopefully sign some better players but it’s whether or not the owners want to stick or twist.

What does non sequitur mean ?

Schoolboy Latin tells me this means “it just doesn’t follow” i.e. a false conclusion

I have just seen our next 5 games and I honestly can't see us winning any of them:

Wycombe (H) who have really picked up since appointing Michael Duff and have gone from bottom of the league to 14th in the space of a few weeks.

Plymouth (H) who are bottom of the league and are playing as bad as us yet we all know what's going to happen as a certain ex player is going to score the winning goal.

Lincoln (A) who have gone a bit patchy in terms of form but are still in the top 6.

Bradford (H) haven't won in their last 5 games but did draw 4 of those yet somehow are still 2nd.

Luton (A) Excellent win away at Stockport today and will pick up now as I fully expect them to finish in the top 2 come the end of the season.

So he’s out for the season. Hopefully back for our promotion push next year in Division 2

Vale were well beaten today by an in form team, whatever team Vale put out would have made no difference to the result and likely the scoreline.

Can't agree. Better teams get beat by lesser teams up and down the country every weekend.

The very unpopular view is that Steve Evans would gel with PVFC very well. We’d absolutely love to be hated and be an aggressive, horrific side.

Despite some doubts about Steve Evans, or probably anybody to be fair, I've just watched a recent interview with him and he may not be a bad shout. Since leaving Rotherham, he lost over 6 stone in weight and done some personal life reassessment. He now seems recharged and ready to get back to the touch line, so I'm guessing that his motivation will be through the roof, when he decides to step back in.

As far as Liam Manning is concerned, I'd be wary of appointing  a manager who is coming off a bad run, same as I was we we gave Darren Moore the job. Ideally, whoever and whenever the next manager is, I hope it's someone on the up.

Glad it won't be my decision, but it may be disastrous or brilliant to try to tempt Robbue Savage. Madness if it failed, or inspired if he was able to take us forward.

Robbie Savsge- not a bad shout

QV,

I agree with the great majority of your posts, but think you're off the mark there.

Vale's first 30 minutes today was a sparkling performance for the manager.

And then we were outplayed by a side which costs nearly twice our budget, and which hence has Championship-standard players.

It's our performances against the EFL1 bottom-half teams which will define this season.

Sorry AV,

I should have put "player's don't want to play for the manager", because I was really referencing the comments on this forum more than my view of the actual performance.  I agree that we looked the better side until their 1st, but we are just so fragile at the moment.

oh <ovf censored> - just put BBC 2 on  and DARKEST HOUR is just starting - Oh how apt ...... But there is hope in it as they get rid of Nev Chamberlain and bring in Winny . The rest is then history ....... Carol TURN ON BBC 2 and see what to do !

Its OK, Darren has been seen on the bus on the way home brandishing a piece of white paper and proclaiming 'League 1 survival in our time.'
