I lose my head from time to time but am also here for the highs aswel. As any fan would be. The select few who come out only when times are bad I think reflects on them. They need something to moan at. They need doom and gloom.

Yes,like i said we all have differing opinions on either the manager, the players etc and that's all good even if it does get to me at times but we all know the ones that are just pathetic and who do go missing during wins

What's a Thora Hird 😉

A little company down back sytch!😁

Great to get the win and move us out of the relegation zone and get the monkey off our back. Onwards and upwards. Notice the thread is only half the length of the game last week and that’s due to no nippy I guess. Watched the game and we defended well no nonsense and took our chances well when they came. Perfect away performance. If we can follow this up with another win next week we are well on our way. UTV!

Is it 4 goals and 3 assists, between the Irish Dynamo and Devante, in 3 games now?

Superb pass by Paton for the second goal.

People may disagree, but while Tolaj has a higher ceiling due to his age, i think Cole is a far better player for us currently and will score more goals. He will make a massive difference this season (the difference between scrapping to stay up and mid table possibly).

I dont think it was DM’s plan was have Paton in the starting 11, I think he was probably 6-7th choice. But I’ve got a lot o respect for the guy to fight his way into the team to prove himself. I just wish we had gone for quality over quantity in the transfer window. For example, Shipley is possibly 7th choice midfielder now, and Waine and fall 5-6 choice strikers. We have a massive squad, combine their wages and bring in someone else of Cole’s quality and things would look even better.

Trying not to get carried away and say im no longer concerned. Though maybe it’s natural to hope now that it all clicks and we go on a mental run, but i do think Exeter will struggle this season. Massively cut their budget this year and you can probably tell.

How is it we never seem to get a ‘homer’ referee ???

The number of fouls he gave to them and yet similar fouls on Vale players he waved play on. We should have had a penalty first half when their centre half was holding a Vale player for ages stopping him getting to a cross

The foul on paton as he played cole in for the second goal was a bookable offence, minimum. Didnt even speak to him as far as I could see.

Some people on were slagging off Cole when we were linked with him a couple of weeks before he signed.

He was just what we wanted at this level and I still can not believe that we got him.

He would easily get into a much bigger team than us in this league.

Devante is class at this level. Always been

Record when Garrity starts since the beginning of last season:

Played 29

Won 18

Drawn 6

Lost 5

Points per game: 2.06, or 95 over a full season.

Record when Garrity doesn't feature since the beginning of last season:

Played 22

Won 3

Drawn 10

Lost 9

Points per game: 0.86, or 40 over a full season.

It can't be coincidence at this point.

without similar data for every player there is nothing to compare it to and taken in isolation those stats are  meaningless I would also question why you only start it from the beginning of last season why not from when he joined the club? Again leaving out half his games makes your data meaningless.

I really don't want DM to pick the team based on superstition and dodgy stats. What next boomer has to stand on one leg the entire game because we score more goals at home when boomer has one leg off the ground than we do when he has both of them on the ground? We win more games when DM has an oatcake for breakfast?

Do you know what I am fully on the Paton bus now after not being totally convinced but he has totally snared me now(tbf he has always been a likeable guy).

Also i can never forget the look on his face in his first game at VP last season and the fans sang wonder of you before kick off,as the music went off and the fans carried on he just turned to the paddock and mouthed wow .... loves it the lad does and long may this love affair last

Welcome aboard!

Paton looked a different player in preseason, knew he just needed a chance. He always looked to have the ability technically, I just think it’s that belief and fitness to close down with purpose and quicker decisions.

He’s got it now, like  Paton says he’s got  fire in his belly. I’m really looking forward to how his partnership can develop.
