Gonna try and get to this one. Hoping and expecting a reaction after the disappointment yesterday.

If Garrity out it’s the following for me, fast pace, go hard and look to use the bench after half time. Any chance of Headley making a comeback?

amos

clark, smith/hall, Jesse, hart

Cros

Walters, Byers

curtis

tolaj, stockley

Byers misses there'd of been hell up as Tolaj was 100%.

Stating the obvious, he slots it In the other corner it's a wonderful penalty. In reality if the keeper guesses correct he has a chance,  see Amos v Bradford and Amos v Walsall.

Tolaj had to take it. Maybe hindsight just blast it down the middle instead.

The defence and zero midfield for a long part of the game was what cost us.

Kudos to Byers for taking the heat of Tolaj.

If my memory serves me right, all Tolaj's pens  have gone to his right so the Carlisle coaching staff/goalkeeper had done their homework as the keeper was already going to Tolaj's right during Tolaj's run up.

Tolaj struck the ball well but at the perfect height for the big goalie to make the  save, if he had hit it along the ground then the goalie wouldn't have been able to get to it and it would have gone in, it happens.

Vale didn't get anything out of the game because of awful defensive mistakes for their 1st and 3rd goals, the 3rd was a comedy of errors..

Just noticed that Grimsby have a -5 goal difference which is amazing to say they're so high in the league !!

Good enough at home when we go forward. Hart best option in away games.

shorrack is a young player and has to learn; his goal against Bromley was superb and he won’t mature unless he plays;

Put him on the substitute bench and bring him on to get game time later on

I think it was a tad unfortunate to be playing carlisle after they had won back to back games for the first time in two years plus a ticket offer to pack the park. Bromley probably felt the same way last week.

Worst in the top 15 I believe.

They are win lose win lose merchants, joint lowest draws ( 6) in the division.

From the sublime to the ridiculous with Grimsby.

Last two games though threw away a 2 goal lead at Harrogate and stuffed v Swindon.

Christ, Grimsby are just as bad.

Yes Grimsby looked bad at times, but there were elements of similar ‘nervousness’ in us on Friday. But Swindon look decent and IF - and that’s a big IF - they add to that side and keep the lad up front, then they will be challenging next year. Hopefully it won’t matter to us.
