Wish Ryan all the best, he worked his bollox off at times which can’t be said for all the players last season. Ability wise he wasn’t good enough we all know that but let’s not slag him off anymore. He’s gone & some of the abuse he suffered from a small minority of vale fans at times was nothing short of disgusting

Cambridge fans sound thrilled, as you can imagine!

Loft signed on a 3 year deal with a club option for a 4th.

As a person I am glad he has a fresh start. The guy just got stuck in a doom loop and it was painful to watch.

Bit of a mad signing from a Cambridge perspective. Their fans are already doing what we do when signing a downbeat signing (i.e sodje and garrity) and claiming instances in the past where it works out.

Anyway a closed chapter for us now and maybe shows the impact of signing good players early. Makes it so clear to other players that they need to get their agents working hard.

I was expecting us to either pay him off, or someone in non league come in for him for free and we would need to help with the wages. I’m more shocked a league 1 side has brought him in than us signing stockley, Byers ect. I’m honestly gobsmacked. 
 

Im delighted. It’s great news for us, he was comfortably the worst striker I’ve seen down the vale. But it’s also great news for him. I don’t think it was ever going to work for him here and a fresh start was needed. I’m just astounded it’s in league football and for a fee
