Loft was excellent today. I hope the guy who was bad mouthing him at the Supporters Club meeting was there to see it.

Nah it was always 3 at the back.  When Sang came on Planty went across to the left and Sang was very much right wing back- in fact given how dominant we were in the last 30 minutes he was essentially a winger.  Thought the back 3 were superb, particularly Nathan Smith- proper captain's performance.  Yak and Debrah also were superb.  In fact, with the possible exception of Grant I thought every player was at least 8/10.  Superb, battling performance in difficult conditions on a beach of a pitch.  The performance that weve been crying out for for months and a bit of renewed hope.  Easter weekend is now massive.

To be fair he had ducking good reason to bad mouth him. 1 performance doesn’t make up for a whole season! Or has this season of his performances been acceptable?

Unbeaten in two now. Win our next game and we can be seen as one of the form teams in the league! Today I saw a team that wanted it. A team that had a striker that has a presence up front at last. A team that remembered how to defend. And while one goal certainly doesn't change my opinion on him, Loft's overall performance does show me what he's capable of. Now he needs to do that much more often. Football fans are fickle. I'm fickle, and then some. Put in effort and score a few goals and you'll get all the praise in the world, even from those who have slagged you off online the most. Hopefully the players and staff can go to work next week and have a bit of a bounce to their step in training. The last two games have given us a chance.

Loft has had a pretty dismal season but it’s not been down to a lack of effort. That’s why a lot of the criticism has been harsh and unnecessary, including the comments on Thursday.

I don’t know. I’ve see plenty a game here he’s not tried. All criticism of a striker with his record is well deserved in my opinion. Did well today though and hopefully a platform for him and us to build on

The past is gone we can’t change it but what we can change is the now & the future, so let’s all pull together and get behind all the lads , it’s amazing what a difference a bit of confidence & positivity can do to a player and we need all of the players to produce their best right now.
