Don't want Kennedy or Adams

That shows a total lack of vision

And ambition in my opinion

We had no ambition in summer when appointing Andy Crosby, or in the transfer window just gone so im not sure that will change now. Adams did a decent enough job at Morecambe didnt he? I still think it will be Gary Bowyer.

The only place Derek Adams really failed was Bradford; which  makes him part of a very long list. He had 3 very good seasons at Plymouth; followed by one not so good. Always done a remarkable job at Morecambe considering their budget. He nearly pulled off a miracle last season.  Before last season I thought he was tactically limited but he did change formations last season with some success.  Morecambe also played some attractive football at times second half of last season.

If it’s Kennedy we might as well shut the doors. Derek Adams would be ok until the end of the season to get a reaction but I wouldn’t want him any further. Horrible football and a really unlikeable bloke. (Not sure he would ever accept a deal until the end of the year either).

Massive appointment and I can just see it being the next mistake from Flitcroft and co.

Tom Conlon has gone to Oldham to play for Mellon.

How do you know this Warren ?

I'd of thought a 2 1/2 year deal for a bloke who's perennially injured was a bigger sway than a manager who has had more clubs than Rory Mcilroy.

Well of course. But from the Oldham angle they have been alerted to a 'good option'.

Conlon is very interesting. He did a season at L1 level. His limiting factors for me were onefootedness and wanting too much time on the ball. But he could improve. Then he got injured. Then let go. Presumably Flitcroft decided not to give him a new contract at the wages he likely wanted. It's a call, but a fit Conlon in the team now would address many of the issues I'm seeing. So, provided he was fit, a mistake has been made?

Also Conlon on a contract would be happy at L1 level. He's not getting taken back by a parent club to develop further at a higher level.

Not sure why some folks are so derisory about Kennedy. Lincoln fan I know says he and a lot of fans he knows thought Kennedy did well for them.  Making them hard to beat (lots of draws), more steady than exciting and were hoping the signings in the summer would help them turn those draws into wins.  However, injuries have curtailed that and a fallout with the board after he threw a player under the bus (figuratively) in a post match interview, following a red card, in the midst of missing players missing because of injury, led to Kennedy’s departure.  He (the fan I know) pointed me to this Lincoln fan blog site which appears to have no axe to grind about his impact on them and is obviously speculating he could well be our manager by the time we play them later this month.

Do I think he’d be a good appointment, 🤷🏻‍♂️. A good appointment, for me at least, would be one that improves what we see on the pitch regards results (don’t care if it’s tippy tappy, up and at ‘em  or any other style of play) and of course, one that keeps us in L1.
