Ollie has been a fantastic player for us and it has been a pleasure to watch him develop. Good luck to him either playing for Sheffield United or going on loan to a Championship team. He'll be a massive miss for the Vale. I hope we can keep hold of Alfie Devine as he is getting better each game.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a big club comes in for him during the summer, then loans him back to the blades to get some experience in the Championship.

Just the news we didn’t need as we go into the new year. This will put Crosby well and truly on his mettle as we face a difficult opponent later today. Can he rally the troops and show what he and the team are really all about?

Good luck Oli, you have been one of the few  shining lights in our first team, once you've recovered from injury you will come good either with Sheff UTD or back out on loan at a higher level.

I fear Spurs will recall Devine next.

Lots of teams rely on loan stars, well the ones that can attract them. The only way players at Prem and Champ clubs can develop, apart from the superstars like Bellingham.

Luckily midfield is one area where we still have decent players. He's a big loss and did great here. Not sure he's quite as good as some try to make out though. What did he get from midfield, 2 goals and a couple of assists?

Just play Ojo and Sang in midfield with Garrity in a free role behind Wilson. Devine and Chislett the creative outlets in the side.

Yes, famously the only metric to assess the quality of a midfielder is goals and assists.
