means nothing in a cup tie! we're at home, we've scored 6 goals in our last 2 homes games. Played brilliantly last time out so plenty to give us confidence & a chance cause the upset. I do agree about us defensively tho 👍🏻 we've got to keep it tight at the back

We have done it before by beating bigger clubs from a higher division. The most recent was Accrington Stanley in FA Cup from memory. Surprised that The Match of the Day cameras weren't there for that one.

 Firstly, I wanna say a message to the vlf, and other casuals, ultras ect. You are important to Vale and we will need your support tonight and in the future! Hopefully most of you can keep your heads today and not get baited by either Boro or the police presence. I don't think it would do neither Vale or Burslem no favours if people get too lairy & aggressive in the town or ground, or towards the police for that matter. Look out for the pal who had a few too many, give em a wee slap and a pint of water.

 

 Last thing we wanna do is give them 'outrage shock' type journalists nowt. If we want more big days like this like..I know I do. Set an example for our younguns. Respectful and mannered when your around our elders, families, the public... and hell even the police too.

 

Let's have a good craic!! Show the class of the Vale, both on and off the pitch. Our wee club will still be here defying odds. in another 100 years with occasions like this...Like a stubborn bedrock.

It would be nice to see an announcement with X amount of tickets left.

Let’s create a last minute buzz and hopefully people will be sucked in to get a ticket last minute.

Official Twitter reckon less than 1600 left so unless there is a mad last minute rush we will be about 1000 off capacity.
