A bit of an insult to our own players, if we’re calling games off because we have three players away on international duty, who are only on loan to us.

Very much doubt the players see it that way.

IF we had played as it turns out we'd have had 0 available strikers and our best player also missing... not ideal on a 5 game winless run in the league against a side we'd usually be favoured to beat.

Clubs can decide so we could of chosen to play the Fleetwood game, obviously if both sides have 3 or more out then it only takes one to P-P it, as I say next season they may as well scrap fixtures being set for the weekend of internationals as only 2 games played the previous International break i believe too, saves late postponements and can schedule to even out the home or away games lost at weekends.

One option would be to schedule group games of the EFL Trophy those Saturday International weekends one in Sept, Oct and November, thus freeing up the Tuesday's for the league fixtures to be played and offset some of the losses.

This makes a lot of sense.

It's a good idea but I guess the premier league teams (who everyone has to kowtow to) wouldn't go for it.

Think Josh is a little unlucky with this red card. Looked like the ball was there to be won but just caught him with the follow through. Can see why the ref might have given it though.

That’s never a red in a million years. Fully entitled to go for that, 50-50 all the way. He even tries to pull out at the last minute.

Under normal circumstances Thomas's red card would not affect his domestic appearances however under a new UEFA ruling  (rule 67 subsection 15) any player sent off while on loan to any club outside the top 2 divisions and outside the country of his birth (Wales) and has made less than 10 starts for that club will be suspended for the remainder of his loan period. !!

Will that red mean we can't call for a postponement in the next international break?

Edit: no

If a 1 game ban he'd miss Monday's game I think.

If he is banned though and the loanees are as they are Balmer if fit may get a call from NI.
