Match Thread: Bradford City v Port Vale

We're getting dangerously close to being 'sucked in'.

Mansfield, Bradford, Grimbsy, and Barrow all have new management. Southend have turned a corner, it would seem.

Our next three are all against teams just below us with new managers. Losses in these means we're in deep trouble.

Hope we nick something tonight, despite my belief it only delays the inevitable.

Bizarrely I've often done the double result of Stoke and Vales opponent.

If it comes in get a pay out, if it doesn't then either Vale or Stoke opponents have got a result. Win win.

The Stoke /Bradford double is 7/2 tonight on sky bet

I’d never bet on Sjoke to win and I’d never bet in PVFC to lose.

Southend have turned a corner since their embargo was lifted and they were allowed to play the players they signed during the summer including Akinola

Completely agree, although I think that we're already deep in it, but let's not get bogged down debating the depth. Troubling signs that the teams immediately around and below us are taking in oxygen. Previous six games, Mansfield 9 points, Bradford 10 points, Southend 11 points (that's play off form). Barrow have won their last 2 matches. So not only are we hurtling downwards, but those below are coming up to meet us. Incidentally, Morecambe under Derek Adams have taken 15 points from their last 6 games. Just saying

Smith at RB. Look at that bench; three young lads there (either COVID related or Askey sending a message). No McKirdy or Robinson. Whitehead goes again. Cullen and Oyeleke's injury issues simply aren't worth the hassle anymore; good players but I'd rather have lesser quality players who are available for 46 games.

If these lads are good enough, give them minutes. I have no idea if they are, but they can't do any worse than some of the clowns we've had in our colours this season.

I presume Montano, Worrall, Oyeleke and Cullen are still injured while Conlon is self-isolating so that explains their absence but as for McKirdy and Robinson...

Is there any news on their exclusion (injury/Covid) or is it an indication of which players could be shipped out when the window opens?
