Fantastic news for us !

Maybe not so good for The Pie’s over Fosse’s way ?

But as Thatcher once said “let’s just rejoice”

Don't worry about the pies, the worlds biggest crisp factory is handy.

Amazing news. So pleased he's gone, but even more pleased that the club is back owning the ground, and in the hands of genuinely decent, successful people.

I think there's a quick win for them jumping on the goodwill of grateful fans. Engage with OVF, either directly in person (professionally), or through Rob. There's 3 months until the new season, need to get fans back on board asap.

I like what Askey has done so far and he should be given a proper chance. He seems to want his teams to play football the right way, so even when we're losing games we should at least be entertained which certainly wasn't the case under the last helmet.

Eyup Barry, what time must it be at your end?

It's a good day for anyone who has the welfare of Port Vale at heart. Hoping for even greater days to come.

Came online about an hour ago HW (1945 hours)

I'm calm on the outside, but inside...inside HW, I'm so excited I could cry tears of joy

As Red Letter Days go, today is quids in.

I could cry with happiness, that man almost destroyed our club, its now up to us supporters to back Carol and Kevin, thank you both, you have made Vale fans very happy, I can sense the relief already !! Season ticket money at the ready 😊

I don't mind admitting Marge 56 that I had a tear in my eye when Mark from the Supporters Club emailed us to confirm the brilliant news.

Call me sentimental if you like but after the past few years of doom, horrid ownership and absolute turgid games I was of an opinion that my true love for Vale had been so badly gnored away that I actually feared for their existence. News today gives one a belief, a spot on the horizon to aim for, a wholehearted tingle that under the new ownership of Vale true die hards then we can unite and show the other League Clubs that PORT VALE are back and we intend to achieve what we all have lived our lives in supporting the mighty Vale for. I'm chuffed to ecstacy!!

Just like Christmas Day! The turkey is finished!

Thanks to you both, Kevin and Carol. The best news coming out of Vale Park for quite a few years. It's brilliant for Port Vale and for the Burslem area and local businesses. A big job ahead to undo years of mismanagement, stability first, then steady progress. We're all behind you!

Off to open my sweetie jar and renew my season ticket!

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Carol and Kevin for putting us out of our misery. I can’t inagine that negotiations have been. Lear or straightforward, with that thing.

I’ve wanted to say this but haven’t because of the take over being in process, goodbye to that tyrant. I hope all the misery that he has inflicted on others comes back to haunt him.

Let’s all now get behind the new owners and realise our limits. Like I say we d got what we wanted with our new owners being fans but they will now have to behave like owners. It’s a business and they have more at stake than any of us fans.

Please give them time and they’ll appoint the right people for the right positions.
