Yes Legge out for 3 games but Howkins played like he,d never been away and had a point to prove.Legge was man of the match at Crewe so will be missed on Saturday especially by Fartell.Howkins out of contract at end of season so may be a blessing in disguise if we could manage to persuade him to stay.

Cracking win. Another 4 points from the six games left will probably be enough. Looking forwards to cheering the lads on during the game against Crwho and protesting about the incompetent one before the game. Enough is enough. Get out of our club.

What a win that was. Worrall was quality. Oyeleke played well too. Back four looked comfortable. Think Howkins and Smith are our best cb pair anyway. Substitutions were effective. Popes penalty only just creeped in but well done him, he played well when coming on. That steward was also interesting....

Northampton missed some chances but their goal was offside, it's not even close and as the goal resulted from a corner the liner has no excuses for not being in line with the last man. In the end it didn't matter but that must be the 3rd or 4th crucial offside decision at least that's gone against us since Askey took over.

 

Felt sorry for Legge 'cause the ball took a lousy bobble just before it got to him resulting in the miss-control, however he's a pro footballer and should have dealt with it.

 

Table looking a lot better for Vale now.
