I am personally not a great fan of looking at what a player has done retrospectively. Lawrie Wilson had a season in League One prior to joining us but when he joined Vale his legs had clearly gone so what he'd done the previous season was largely irrelevant.

 

If Dagnall's legs have "gone" as mentioned then it doesn't matter how many goals he scored when he was fit.

 

But having said all that if that "legs gone" is just hearsay, he'd certainly be a welcome experienced addition.

When did any of us ever believe the Vale news? Been around too long now so take everything with a pinch of salt, UNTIL it's actually done and dusted. Same old I'm afraid of building fans hopes up and then dismissing us as though we are not worthy of even a fragment of truth.

If the new signing is Mark Harris it may be that Cardiff officials minds are elsewhere today. In respect of the tragedy that appears to have befallen their new signing Emiliano Sala, completing the details of a youngster's loan deal to Vale is probably very low on their list of priorities.

If it is the lad from Cardiff I think the potentially tragic events that club is facing will supersede the completion of paperwork of a loan player they are lending to Port Vale.

 

More than justifiable for any such delay surely in anyone’s mind.

Lawrie Wilson had the misfortune of playing alongside the equal has been Kaye and kept being caught out.

 

He didn’t actually look that slow. I think Aspin’s static tactics are the main reason for that. Our current pace is ponderous throughout the team apart from Whitfield

Artells superior viewpoint is interesting,Crewe are that good at the moment, to improve their brilliant young home grown side, they will have to pay more money than they are prepared to pay to clubs, who in turn wont let their players go on loan because they wont be guaranteed game time.

I suspect it’s something to do with Cardiff having bigger matters to deal with than sign paperwork to loan a young lad out... hopefully it will be done by Saturday
