Come on Neil go now.

Interesting stuff about wages last season here.

https://www.footy.com/footballers-vs-the-fans/#efl-league-two

Bearing in mind our squad was highly bloated, those statistics prove nothing. Everyone on here knows we need quality over quantity yet, like Brown, Aspin has filled the squad with chancers and no-hopers.

If we'd had a squad of 25 instead of 35 the average weekly wage would have been 40% higher @ £1387 for the same annual budget.

Neil no one has any appetite to boo or protest against a true vale legend that helped a club punch above its weight for years. Your tactics are dire your selection and your belief in players like Quigley frankly beggar belief. You would probably prosper in continuing to maintain a non league club to a mid table position every year.

For us all to remember you in a positive manner do not tarnish this Glover style.

And who would you trust our leader to appoint if he did go:ohmy:

Under Norm we've had:

1. Experienced, commanding Football League Manager, with decades of experience

2. Young, articulate manager making his first steps into management

3. Foreign experiment, complimented by foreign influx of players

4. Young, tough manager famed for his aggression as a player

5. Non-league stalwart, with decades of experience in management

We've literally had every type of manager possible, and they've all ended acrimoniously and in failure.

Is it the manager, or is the bigger than that? Is the club so rotten that all managers end poorly?

We've sold an 11 year old to Man City and made £2m+ on transfers. Lets not pretend that we've properly backed Aspo in terms of how much money is available.

Aspo isn't helping himself but perspective must be retained.

I don't want Aspin to be sacked, although I don't particularly have faith in him any more.

I fear for the club's league status if our idiot owner has to go out and recruit another manager externally.

Who would want to come?

Probably the Nuneaton manager knowing Mr Big:smile:

The club is unbelievably rotten. The match day experience tells you that.

Yep, this is true. I don't care much for this modern concern of the whole match day ''experience'' but you'd have to be daft not to see how Mickey Mouse the ground looks with no sponsor for the home or away ends. The ground is somehow feeling shabby and there's a poor atmosphere about the place.

When has Aspin come out and said it is about money NEVER other managers are getting teams into the play offs for far less.

A great cup run one season can payroll a promotion seasons the next.

Aspin has not got it.

He did say that no-one comes to Vale for the money in preseason.

Get it.but he has never said money is THE big issue much as we would love like to blame smurf I think that he chose a Vale legend to appease fans following a gamble.

Lets face it the gamble has certainly paid off for wolves in Nuno we trust.

We need to clear our rier view mirrors the 1990s are gone.

Lets go again
