Out of all those out of contract at the end of the season, I wouldn’t offer a new contract to any of them. I’ll be disappointed if any of them stay. I’d also look to release Lainton, Davis and Barnett too.

 

A complete change in the dynamic of the squad is needed. Keep the remaining 10 and add 13 more potential first team players to complete a good quality squad. Continued squads of 30 plus players is not the way, look where it’s got us. Quality not quantity is needed

Completely agree 100%!!!

I read in the Sentinel, that Tonge had a clause activated, that keeps him at the club for another season. Please God no!!! 😱😱😱

I know Aspin talks about him, like he’s the Iniesta or de Bruyne of League 2. But he must see something different than everyone else then...

Having said that of those out of contract in the summer I think theres question marks over players like Turner and Calveley (players for the future as we need to keep that going) and even Pugh and Tonge, purely because I'm not sure Aspin will get rid of both of them. Personally I still think they have something to offer the squad.

 

Replacing the loan signings is a big task too as some of those have been very important to the season and take up key position in the squad too.

 

Come the end of the season our squad size could be halved when you add up the loans returning and those players Aspin isn't going to offer deals to.
