I don't wish to see Stoke get relegated as having a Prem. Lge club is good for the Potteries.

However it seems there's a few too many players in red and white stripes just turning up and picking up a wage, Zouma's amble back to his own area when Newcastle scored was a prime example.

The hardest thing for those lot to get there heads around is the $64 million question......,.,,,Whom do they replace him with?

Because it's a wee bit like being in the outback. Not a great deal out there sir

The hardest thing for those lot is to find their own ar5e with both hands.Lou Macari

has now been mentioned.Get Nellie back ,they’d be sorted.

Joking aside, I share similar sentiments. Why, as a well established Prem club with plenty of funds from years of TV rights including the latest deal, would you take a player on loan from your divisional rivals who is then viewed as one of your key players, especially in central defence? Zouma's only at Stoke because he isn't really wanted at Chelsea but he'll still get shed loads of wages. He's going through the motions knowing he'll be sold as soon as Chelsea get a buyer and he also knows he'll get someone to pay him more than Stoke will so he isn't that bothered about impressing them. In other words there is no motivation for him to 'go the extra mile' for Stoke and it shows.

Hughes inherited a great back four from the King Of The Club Shop and has systematically dismantled it, starting by getting rid of Huth who immediately won a Premier League title. It was obvious he didn't like Huth's style of play because the centre halves he favours are more like midfielders, trouble is they're rubbish at defending like that Zimmer-frame he shelled out £18m on. Spurs must have had a party when they found some cabbage to pay that for him. He really is a poor manager, especially defensively, and now Pulis's core players have all gone (except Sh**cross, who looks like a knacker these days anyway) he's been exposed. As I've said before, tactically he's the Michael Brown of the Prem and I'm surprised he hasn't gone already, it isn't just this season he's failed, look at their record since last Christmas. He won't turn it round.

Stoke spend less on players than Bet 365 pay to advertise on Sky and advertising around the grounds.Vale must be the only club not advertising Bet 365 in the football league.Hughes could have spent more in the summer on better players but made a profit selling Arnautovic to West Ham.

His poor signings like Imbula for 18 m,Berainho for 12 m and Wimmer for 18 m show he can't be trusted to find decent signings.

Hope they keep him until Saturday when Coventry knock them out of the cup.

The goalkeeper and back four who finished the game for Newcastle yesterday in total cost less than Kevin Wimmer!

Think this is where they are at- stoke are at a crossroads and have to re-build as the old guard have left or getting older , when they came up they were lean organised had energy for not a lot of outlay now to stay where they are used to an investment is needed which is more difficult as wages and fees increase year on year . They should have dipped into the championship (ie burnley woods etc) or even lower down where the outlay isn't as much albeit you are buying potential they are proven professionals with games under the belt unlike any youth coming through mix this with a marquee signing every year minimalises the outlay but gives more chance players working at that level.

They have now left it too late and need major surgery all over the pitch so will be touch n go whether they stay up or not.

In my eyes their problems started with their “change of direction” attitude. They thought they were by then an established “Greed Is Good” League side and could become more expansive. However, Pulis’ “Dogs Of War” approach was the only reason they survived in the first place. Combative British players have been replaced by “Johnny Foreigners” who generally do not “get” the British game or, in the majority of cases, are simply not good enough. Hence their current woes. Oh, and a useless manager of course. PS did you see him walk out of that tv interview ? Bizarre few days for the Welsh “it is what it is” Windbag.
