Hugill Big Money

Robbie Earle's Perm

Recommended Posts

Seeing tweets that "major money" being offered now (more than the 8 mil already rejected) before deadline day. With Wolves, Reading and Sunderland interested... not sure they can hang on to him much longer?

Sent from my iPhone using onevalefan

Reports that Burnley have asked about him but "won't pay the ten million".

My mate who is a huge Wolves fan suggested they will offer 8 figures for him' date=' that would mean a cool 2 million for the Vale, come on Wolves (first and last time I will say that!).[/quote']

It's been rumoured he's asked for a transfer.Sunderland favourites.

Didn't Norman turn down Synectics second offer because they offered something that according to Norman "wouldn't have have damaged the clubs future finances" ... My guess at the time was that they said he could keep the Hugill money.

It will be the measure of the man what he decides to do with it now.

If he keeps it... it proves he just has a vendetta against the Synectics bid (Jealousy issues given their popularity is my guess)

What a spot of luck for NS.

A kid plucked from non-league for pennies. Pinched by Preston in a derisory transfer a few months later.

Trained by Preston and now likely going for big money off the back of Hugill's hard work and talent and the coaching abilities of Preston's backroom team.

He will see this is as a business success of all his own doing though.

I hope he takes the money, accepts a bid from Syncetics and never comes west of Uttoxeter ever again. **** off.

Im not a fan of Smurf at all and I think hes a weapon but what do people really expect.

You buy a club, take it up, try a few new things and balls it up.

You get abused by fans left right and centre and told to f off because you arent wanted anymore (based on your own mistakes and ego)

Would you get a windfall in the millions and pump it into the club?

Not a chance! he will 'pay off' his loan against that money and sell up, personally speaking I would expect anyone in his position to do the same. I wouldn't let fans cain me and give me stick for months then suddenly decide I want to pump a million quid plus in, Ive always said the situation needed to go one way either the fans tolerated the owner for the good of the club or they forced him out, we now have done neither and have created a untenable position for the owner. Before the anti smurf die hards turn up and start the uncontrolled ranting the fans have a part of play in this, in that there have been very low key protests and resistance to Smurf enough to upset him but not enough to make him want to go immediately. Its almost like fans have done so much with v2001 they couldnt be arsed this time round.

You also then look at the situation with brown and any person in their right mind wouldnt give him money to spend anyway, it would be like sticking it down a grid, we would end up like Barry Fry at Birmingham with squad number 60 knocking about.

Wasn't Hugill signed as part of the development squad idea we did for one season along with Campion, Andoh, Deen-Conteh etc.?

What really grates me is this was probably one of the best idea's we had, it was always going to take time to deliver full on results but out of the ten players signed...

Hugill - Looks to have created around £1.5-2 Million income

Andoh - Had he not got a career wrecking injury would likely have gone on to be a decent sale for us judging from the potential he had shown.

Campion broke into the team also from that group.

Yet we scraped that and went for the foreign project 18 months later which essential threw in players not ready for the English game too quick and has ultimately led us to the bottom of EFL. We could of signed a few of the players for the development squad had we kept it and filtered out the ones that didn't make it that way whilst keeping the decent base we had from 2015-16.

Like I said earlier. We lost him because we never signed up good prospects to proper contracts until smith was offered his extension. But him leaving and being a success in the championship could well mean us making far more money despite losing him for 'nothing', compared to what we would have negotiated if he had stayed.
