The BREXIT SCAM 12 months on

Go back to the start. The Civil Service exists to serve the Government and implement its policies. The Government policy in the referendum was to remain. Therefore the Civil Service supported this but also made no preparations at all for a leave vote. So the UK had no preparations at all in place to start the leave process in June last year.it has all had to be set up since.

So it seems to me that the leave negotiations started and Article 50 notice was issued as soon as possible.

As a conservative I was pleased when May became PM. I thought she was a quiet and thinking sort of person. But now I am really unhappy with her. I think she is really completely vacuous. The latest example is the ambiguous offer to the EU re EU nationals right to remain. I want her removed as soon as possible - and I don't mean by being replaced with Corbyn and even worse his Trotsky Marxist "rage protest" mate McDonnell.

Thanks for that whacko but rest assured if I was in charge there would be no royal family (they don't want the job anyway) if you follow the news recently and also the country would have fewer people in it and I would have that thatcher tunnel bricked up by Eastern Europeans as they exited our country so yes a much better country imho !

Lovely sentiments - you related to Trump?

As Warren says our govt. system was not prepared for the out vote, but its now time to get in there and kick some ass! the eu says it will not respond to threats yet it is threatening the uk. May's proposal about foreign workers is a good/fair one, yet they turn round and say it does not go far enough?.

We've got to start being more positive and take what is becoming a fight to the eu, what I don't understand if anyone knows, if by 2019 we have not sorted it all out and it looks as if we wont, what then happens do we fall off the edge of the world, or disappear down a sink-hole?

Joking apart if we seem weak in the negotiations they we take advantage, pity Maggie T, isn't doing the talks...love or hate her she would have been a hard nut to crack.

Blimey I think you are now going ott because your arguments are being shot down.

Anyone who thinks we are going to get agreement with 27 nations who can't even agree among themselves is living in cuckoo land.

We should just give notice that we will not be paying a penny into the EU after the two years negotiations and tell them if they put tariffs on our goods we will reciprocate .We import more goods than we export to the EU so that is their loss.

Their biggest worry is where to find the money that we are currently paying in.

They are playing th big bully because they don't want others to follow. We have to stand up to them and be willing to walk away if need be because it is in their interest as well as ours to strike a good deal which benefits both parties. It's a tactical game both sides are playing and will go on for a good couple of years, we have to accept that and hope for a better brighter future outside the EU.

THE process was we voted OUT and the next day we invoke the divorce proceedings which by now we should be almost out the door NOT still faffing about . The only reason the whole thing isn't scrapped is the powers that be don't want to insight a revolution

My cousin was in a pub in the Burslem area with a Polish bar staff member the day after the vote, when a local came in and said to the barperson "We voted for you lot to go home,Why haven't you ****** off yet?" Was that you by any chance?

The vote to leave twelve months ago and we are still not out and many hope it will never happen at all .My veiw is the whole fiasco sums up this corrupt non democratic country with a failed leader and government !

Ive got to presume you're a WUM because you're getting more ridiculous on a daily basis.

Out of interest, what does a non corrupt and democracy country look like and how does Russia fit this description?

Rubbish - the recent elections in Holland and France saw the anti-EU vote evaporate.

If it is treated as us and then those in the UK that are starting a war with the EU will be slaughtered financially.

There is a liberal movement now to give UK citizens who want to be part of the EU as individuals the right to do so - when this ALDE party get more powerful you will see things that will make you cringe.

The leader of the ALDE Group in the EU parliament Guy Verhofstat MEP is the partliaments CHIEF BREXIT NEGOTIATOR and he is pushing for individual Britons to keep European citizenship and the rights associated with it - even if Brexit () goes ahead.

That's not the point though - however much anyone disagrees with why he is saying it, his first post is fundamentally true - Brexit hasn not and WILL not happen, unless it is dressed up and watered down 95 per cent to save face. I am one of the many he refers to who not only hope, but am 100 per cent sure it will not happen. Corrupt, failed leadr and govermment - he's not far wrong there either, and comparing the UK to other countries is not the answer.

He is also entitled to an opinion.

Brexit is dying on its feet, and to paraphrase the lovely George Osborne - it is 'a dead policy walking'.

In that case there wont be too many left to worry about BREXIT, and most probably it will be back to 'sticks and stones' to settle disputes...
