This Tony Fradley bloke.......

I actually called in to Radio Stoke tonight and spoke to Colin Garlick about (surprise, surprise) the abysmal communications re season ticket sales. It sounds like someone has been listening to my "observations" as we are now promised incentives/panic measures in light of the embarrassing 500 sales so far.

Colin sounded like a man on the ropes, and there was a touch of tragedy about the "we're selling tickets on a daily basis" comment. I don't blame CG for any of this mess though, and fair do's he always fronts up when asked to.

So far, so depressing but I have to say that this Fradley bloke sounds ill-suited to the role of programme-seller never mind chairman. His schtick seemed to be "I've been watching Vale for a long time ergo I know what Im talking about. Now hand over your readies because that's your duty". Didn't Smurthwaite say he failed to understand how important the fans/customers are ? Well he sure hasn't pased the message on to this guy.

He certainly didn't sway me towards renewing my ticket - in fact, listening to him it sounds like I'd be putting my money down a drain. If that bloke is chairman material, I'm Governor of the Bank of England.

The longer that bloke is chairman the less hope I would have for the club as a whole, never mind next season. If he's the face of PVFC we need botox, collagen and anything else that's available.

Come on Smithie do you really think any sane bloke would settle for being Smurthwaite's stooge? I heard that he was a huge Bratt supporter so that is all that I needed to know. All of this proper fans will buy their ticket is utter and complete nonsense. Real fans will think what is in the best long term interests of Port Vale and not feeding a parasite who in reality couldn't give a 'tinkers cuss' about the Club.

Fradley is at least trying to help the Vale more than be said of most people on this site, give him a chance for Vale's sake, he can't help looking like a gargoyle!

I was thinking of posting about Fradley's performance. Couldn't have put it better myself. They read my text out to Tony, asking about his True Vale fans comments. I don't think he understood the point.
