Synectics are still interested

Isn't that what businessmen usually do?

Not really. Most business people understand that a successful business means a successful business person. In what way is Smurthwaite running a successful business?

Poor business people take everything they can get, knowing they don't have the skills or acumen to run it successfully. Now that sounds like Smurthwaite!

like I said in response to this question the other day, why cant the club be run in such a way as it doesn't need someone elses money being thrown in? Bob Young and co managed it. Synectics have the staffing and nous to run the Vale to help it maximise its potential from its available resources, if it was run in this way it shouldn't need millions throwing at it

It's easy to run a club as an administrator though, without personal liability or risk.

Synetics appear to be the best and only option. I'd be amazed if Norman would sell or if they would pay the ridiculous amount of money he's asking for a club with minimal assets.

They deal with high profile name customers daily in their very successful business. they employ 300 plus staff. they are involved in raising the profile of Burslem and it's people, they are Vale fans who have witnessed first hand how not to run a football club, they have the clout to borrow money to expand their business and they may have personal wealth we know nothing about. Just one of these facets would be an improvement over what Norman Smurthwaite offers, the bloke has very nearly ruined us.

I fully agree.

Carol is a 'community' type person and is heavily involved in Swan Bank and the local community. She is very keen on promoting Burslem, is self made, a charity worker, hard working, and to add to her credentials is a true Vale fan. Everyone at Swan Bank greatly admires her, as do her employees and I am sure she would make a much better job of running PVFC than our present owner.

And yes, I know she is still very interested.

I wouldn't say its easy but they showed it can be done. Norman has done very little to maximise non matchday revenue, if he had then turnibver would be much higher and the club would be in a better position

Smurf doesn't own the players, so the money from player sales goes back into the club.....

That's a very naive view in my opinion. The money loaned by Smurf means ,as sole owner, he can cash in any part of the loan whenever he likes so could easily take the money from player sales if he feels like it.
