If you are referring to me Jean then I'm sorry if you think I'm winding people up. That was never my intention just to provide our side of things.

I have previously provided my assessment of Martino as someone who is educated enough to be articulate but as someone who lacks maturity and experience in his/her communication and has a rather juvenile ya boo sucks method of analysis.

This person could be a complete wind up merchant or it could be someone who is close to the Chairman. If if is the former we can just ignore him/her. If it is the latter then the content of communication is the most worrying imaginable.

The main problem is because the Chairman has previously adopted pseudonyms on this site we can never be sure of who or what is real. Therefore he has legitimised any random poster to make any kind of statement and to pretend that it is a statement made by someone "in the know". Sadly this unhappy state of confusion will continue because of the Chairman's past actions.

Martino clearly claims to be in the know about many things, most worryingly that Synectics will never be owners of Port Vale. So if Martino is a wind up merchant the Chairman needs to inform us of that fact. If Martino is doing the Chairman's bidding then we must all be very afraid because if the level of knowledge that Martino claims to have is true then he or she clearly has massive influence. In that case our situation is serious and is rather like a school leaver being appointed as Head Teacher of a failing school.

That's such a short sighted view though, and exactly the kind of response that Smurf and his Daughter are hoping for.

Big if, but if it's true, how is Smurf going to fund this "biggest budget in the league"? Is he going to increase revenue through ST sales? What income are we going to raise between now and the beginning of the season (we have no home games now until next season and in season match day revenue can't be used for next season's budget)?

Is he going to pump the money into the club himself? History shows this will be in the form of a loan, added to £3.7m the club already owes him from his failed ventures.

Or, is he going to plough the money in through sponsorship so it won't be shown as a debt?

Let's say one of those options comes to fruition, and once our league 2 status is confirmed. Do you have faith in Smurf being in charge of spending all of this money? What decisions has he made so far that inspire such confidence?

I think you must have misread what I wrote and the meaning behind it to come up with such a response. Start was a key word, if was also crucial, true being a biggy also.

I didn't misread it at all. I stated quite clearly in my response, it was a big if as to whether or not it was true. You did say that it would be a start, however, the "biggy" for me was the use of the word "good". My whole response was based on your assertion that "if" it is "true" that our budget would be the biggest in league 2, then why do you come to the conclusion that it would be a "good" "start"?

I ask that question, for the reasons stated previously.

He hasn't ruined my hope Ben. In our current situation I see Valiants as Santiago in 'The old man and the sea'. Right now we may be battered and bruised after a gruelling season, but will recover

Smurf reminds me of Cpt Ahab tied to the great white Vale [sorry whale] waving to supporters on the deck of the pequod to come and join him as he sinks to the depths

More like the titanic next season as the smurf encourages the hard core to buy into this c r a p again.the titanic that set sail on its maiden voyage with a massive out of controll coal fire in its storage holds below decks

The results have to change on the pitch. I would like to see the owner change also and I probably won't be getting an ST until there is some clarity on that happening. However giving Brown (who I presume will be in charge) a good budget to work with is a must. Would you rather they say he's staying and we will have the worst budget in L2?

Well that's not true is it Tim? At times he's a handful in League one, imagine what he will do in League two.

Reggie will get flattened in L2 by massive CBs. It's more physical then L1 and that will make Reggie an even poorer choice unfortunately.
