As you all know I have not been the greatest fan of "the Smurf Love In "from day one. Can I say that this ******* is the only reason why this great club of ours is heading to league 2 so please Norman please please I beg you to just go away and sell up.

Was the **** at the match today? His new motor wasn't in his personalised parking space. As well as the touch of vitriol that came from the Railway Paddock towards the silver haired ********, there was also a few negative noises aimed at him from the executive boxes, although I couldn't make out exactly what was being said. Not Carpetman, obviously...

Whatever your views on Smurf, One thing is for certain if he doesn't go there is no way we will sell 2000 STs next Season.

Today was the first time I've heard so many callers on P&G slate him.

There is also a Video

doing the rounds of Fans in the Paddock singing "Get out of our club"

You only have to look at clubs like Swansea and Brighton to see what a difference is made by owners who truly care about their club and have the ability and commitment to make it work.

Brighton played two seasons at Gillingham, 70 miles away from their home town, and only survived with a last minute goal at Hereford that kept them out of the conference (or whatever it was called at the time). This season, in a fantastic new stadium, they are odds on to make it to the premier league.

Likewise Swansea, almost bankrupt, were playing in front of crowds of less than 1500 and had to apply for re-election to the football league in 1973. Here they are now playing in the premier league in a ten year old stadium.

It can be done - but not without a change in owner and lots of investment, expertise and hard work.

We should still have hope despite this terrible season.

The guy is a complete joke! . You make me embarrassed to be a Vale fan with your antics. You should be ashamed.

I've been attending Vale since 89. I've seen some unbelievable players and I've seen some abysmal players. I've been mascot (2-2 vs Swindon, 90/91) I've travelled the length and breadth of the country, cheering & crying, I've spent ridiculous sums in the club shop and throughout all that, I've always kept the faith as ups and downs are what football is all about.

That said, Norman Smurthwaite, you have killed it for me. I'll be at Bolton but that's probably it for me until you:

* Set a fair price for the club 1.5-2m and sell up

* Apologise to Vale fans for all your lies and incompetence

Do we need another thread saying the same thing? It's getting really boring now
