Can't understand why the players put a n such a lacklustre performance at Coventry.

This was a cup final for us and Coventry were there for the taking.

For Brown to dismiss this as a game too far is a joke.

The players should be made to realise their futures are on the line. If they are professional footballers there should be no problem playing two games in a week.

Just hope Brown can motivate them and get them up for Saturday which is another cup final.

The Crewe boss recently warned his side that they could well be none league & on £200 a week shortly if they didn't improve & quick, 48 hours later they won at Portsmouth, perhaps Brown should try something similar before Saturday. .........

Really don't know what to expect from us after Tuesday, but will be really interesting to see the reaction on here if we win on Saturday.

Extremes on both sides so far, the confidence of staying up went through the roof when we won against Swindon & Shrews, but there was utter despair after Cov/Northampton.

We're a different side at home,we seem to have some kind of complex about playing away.

All the OTT threads are really agonising to watch. People are now looking ahead of NEXT season and predicting Non-League obscurity. What an over reaction.

Vale have played poor this season...but there has also been glimmers of Promotion form. Vale are now in the bottom four with 9 games left of which they are a game or two in hand over the clubs near the bottom with only three or four points more (Oldham only have two points more) So what's the drama all about?

Vale lost last night to a club whom are down and out...but Coventry had to win last night or they may as well have all packed their bags for League two and forfeited their final seven games...that result last night could have happened to Millwall, Sheff Utd. Fleetwood...in fact any of the top six positioned clubs.

It's about time the club and the fans started to get a realistic proportion of perspective and started to be more positive. Vale are going no where this season...they will finish at least fifth from bottom out of the bottom four...calm down. The home games are now cup ties...get down the Vale and roar the team to wins just like against Shrewsbury and Vale will be sound.

Somebody had to take a reality check:closedeyes:

We will have a better idea at 4.50pm next Saturday.

Shrewsbury and Oldham both playing Sheff Utd and Bolton respectively.

Great opportunity to get out of the bottom four and level with 6th bottom on points with two games in hand over Oldham and one over Shrewsbury.

I'm not the most confident of fans we will stay up but I do believe we have a very good chance of doing so.

Sums up being a Vale fan pretty much that. We should be used to it after so many years. Really we all ought to have continued ten pin bowling instead of supporting our favourite Club, it would have been less stressful!

Not Going Down ?

We Can't score goals,

Tall Centre forward, Reggie can't head a ball

All our best players are injured

our best Striker - Gets injured in the

Pre Match Warm-up ?

We are games in hand, but can't win them

All our rivals are picking up points

I'd be more confident with a TEAM of Nathan Smiths

A few more depressing facts for you;

We've only scored FOUR goals in the first 30 minutes of a game this season

We've won ONE away game all season

We've scored 12 goals away from home, lowest in the division

We've been beaten TWICE by rock bottom Coventry, who've managed only 4 other wins all season

We still haven't managed a league double over ANYONE

Our current top scorer is our CENTRE BACK

We've used over 40 players this season

And this is just on the field. Feel free to add to the list!!!

We can' t score goals - we've scored in every one of the last 7 games

Reggie - agreed.

All our best players are injured? Smith, Streete and Foley aren't.

Pre-match injury...it happens.

Playing our games in hand started on Tuesday - we still have games in hand on most teams in the mix

All our rivals picking up points...like Friday when we picked up 3 and Bury and Oldham drew?

Looks a bit different put like that, doesn't it?

Didn't go but my nephew did, who goes home and away so will quote his txt comments.

No matter how bad you think this performance was multiply it by 10 and you might be halfway there. We were dreadful.

So that was our easiest away game (bottom of the table and there for a reason). Being realistic and based on our away form all season we can forget winning many points away from home for the remainder of the season. Well there is always April to look forward to. Oh yes I forgot.:sos:

We're a different side at home,we seem to have some kind of complex about playing away.

As i dont go the away games its obvious we r set up wrong ,u do not set your team up every game the same away when u r losing every game u play away well last 2 anyway .

U go 5 at the back with 2 wing backs and the 3 most competitive players at the club in midfield Amoros Brown Tavares then u have a bit of flair Eagles with a willing runner all game who will chase everything and never stop as he his the first line of defence .

The three centre halves should block everything every shot and from set pieces be a threat for us .

Foley seems be a very good home player but away isnt as good so dont play him .

Cecelia cannot play on his own up front but in a 2 is i think very decent .

Its all about the set up not once have we tried a different formation away and i said on wonder of Vale on fb ( no longer on that site as i didnt agree with what some folk were saying )that the performance in the main was completely awful in the televised win v Mk Dons our only win .

Its strange how bookies work out their odds...Vale are a best priced 5/6 to go down this morning......If we beat MK Dons we would be just 3 points behind Charlton in 15th & we would still have a game in hand on them......Charltons odds for the drop @ BET 365 this morning?......80/1!!....😨😨
