Complete inane ramblings from two dinosaurs, quite embarrasing the pair of them.

The worst commentating I ever heard, from McGarry and Williams. I kept shouting, 'Shut up Williams' and 'What is happening on the pitch?'

They were forever joking and talking about Stoke and Crewe playing tomorrow,horse racing,their betting, what happened five, ten, fifteen years ago etc etc.

All we want to know is, what is happening on the field of play!

Last night felt a bit like the Stoke FA Cup replay in 1992. We had to dig a result out against the opposition and the elements.

For all his superb saves this season, Jak Alnwick was poor at coming off his line and when he did he also flapped at many a ball. The keeper last night did nothing wrong other than the one missed punch at a high ball which flew over the defence. The conditions were dreadful for keepers and such an instant put down for Mehmet is petty and not warranted.

 

I agree it was difficult conditions for a keeper last night however his technique is terrible - I will be amazed if we see him again. There is a reason he's hardly played any 1st team games in his career.

Williams may be an ex-player however is bitter and twisted from when he USED to be a scout for us, not sure exactly what happened but he sounds a negative bitter and twisted man towards Vale.

Instead of Port Vale through his blood he has moan moan moan.

 

I think Ray fits in perfectly commentating from the Lorne Street with all the old moaners

What's the alternative? Fasan.was it a coincidence that we had a new keeper making his debut and we won only our second game this year.

Massive massive win. For the first time in a long long time, im now starting believe we CAN stay up. The football we played for the 2nd goal was just brilliant. Smith again was outstanding. The only downside was another 2 more injuries. Our home form is playing a massive part in our survival.

 

Trouble is we only have 4 home games left - and 2 of them are Blunts and Bolton. To stay up we are going to have to get some away points - massive game again on Tuesday.

Can i direct you to the "Lorne St Mental" thread. You are showing that you don't sit in the Lorne St and also that you are old enough to remember when that side of the ground was populated by the older generation. It always makes me smile when fans say VP is a tip etc - come to the Lorne St then. Great facilities, warm at HT, decent toilets, good view (no posts), TV's etc. Oh, but then you would have nothing to moan about eh! Lol.

We won because the two centre halves where magnificent which meant the keeper had very little to do.we beat Swindon last weekend again not because of the keeper. Boot should be given a run of games who is better than both these keepers.

I know I was only using a stereotypical joke. I actually used to sit in the Lorne St and only started to "slumb" it in paddock at the beginning of the promotion season. I can't move back to the posh seats in case it starts to brings bad luck!
