I thought it was a disgrace how people cheered him off, no player deserves that!

This is no excuse but I heard a while back now that Tavares is actually homesick but Norman has told him he's going no where because apparently he's on a 3 year contract. How true this is I don't know?

I think we need to try 3.5.2 and hope that an extra man in the middle can help offset the loss of Grant.

The problem is without Purkiss we don't really have anyone with the energy to play right back as I agree in moving Taylor to Grant's position.

If there was ever any doubt about playing two up top it must have been dispelled tonight, although our options are running out.

We don't have the quality in the squad to cover these injuries/suspensions.

Whilst Tavares was not having a good game, cheering when he got substituted will not help him at all.. the same could be said about Patterson..

To be fair to paterson when we are playing 4321 at home with no creativity from the midfield and just tip tapping the ball at the back , it's hard to make a difference when there is no ball to feed off.

Feel gutted that Tavares has turned out to be so poor. He was one of our only signings with great pedigree. Unfortunately he reminds me of Andreas Lipa...actually no...Lipa looks like Messi compared to him.

The problem is he's not some young bloke that can adapt his game to suit how football is played over here over time. He's 30 years old, and is well and truly set in his ways. If he was given time on the ball he'd be just fine, but he's never going to get that in League One.

Not if our system is used as it should be with full backs, wingers and a number 10 who were allowed to get forward quickly to support, leaving the 2 holding midfielders to cover any holes left behind them.

What I couldn't understand about Tavares was his insistence of chasing the ball when their centre halves had it. From the 1st minute onwards he was running around like a headless chicken offering nothing, chasing the ball being knocked back and forth. I'm concerned that he knows that he's not good enough and is shying away from his actual job as when he's one on one with his man he's made to look, with respect, like a pub team player.
