But with last seasons defence we conceded less goals after 18 games than this seasons defence. Though i do prefer Street and Smith, but i wish we still had Dicko and Purkiss.

I'd suggest a couple of our midfielders ought to be able to equal that - when they're properly fit and getting a run in the team! 8 goals, eh...a proper top player! How many has he got this season?

 

You suggest.....Name names, Who in Vales current midfield will get 8 goals this season ? I'm interested, 8 goals might not pull up any trees but we still haven't replaced them.

Quite harsh on a few who have had injuries this season.

 

I don't agree that all of a sudden all the foreigners are not good enough just because we've been playing **** recently. We've still been getting results here and there so they clearly have something about them, and are not out of their depth completely.

 

I think a lot comes down to the fact that we've watched Patterson play upfront on his own for weeks on end, especially with Jones out injured and left backs playing in a front 3.

 

Bruno impressed me early on but his refusal to change the tactics has been mind blowing considering we simply haven't had the players to play in that formation at times.

 

Whenever I look at the teamsheet the first thing I see that I dislike is patterson being anywhere near the team. Then Tavares. I think De Freitas could be a potential starter this season along with Knops, Amoros and Cicilia currently. I haven't seen Santos play but there's no reason to drop Alnwick at the moment.

 

I agree the squad is too big and that some of the signings appear to be punts more than anything, but to write them all off is daft and very over the top.

 

My post wasn't about writing anyone off, it was giving my opinion on how I think they have fared for us this season so far. I have some sympathy with the foreign lads, especially the younger one's such as Amoros, De Freitas and Cicilia. But we'd have been much better signing two decent, established players instead of 5 or 6 of them. It's almost like the chairman or manager thought that the more chancers he brought in the better the odds would be for a few of them to be decent, but that's such a daft way to go about things.

Well I think he should. Bury the hatchet and get him back in the team, which will allow us to use Taylor in Grant's role, in front of the back four.

It's frustrating that if we can get our strongest 11 out, and Bruno actually picks what should be something like his best team and with two up top, we're a match for most on paper and look decent.
