Don't get me wrong, Page did a decent job. Above average no doubt. But what made Northampton want him over many other managers? It's not like he's worked miracles at Vale or has any sort of success on his CV yet. Just seems very strange for a club with new found ambition and wanting to move foward on the pitch as well as off it.

Only time will tell, it is a gamble but most managerial appointments are, my only opinion is they have taken Mark Richards advice (already stated by someone on this site?) that he suits their style of play and would continue their progress with minimal upheaval.

I'm not bothered he's going, and don't hold a grudge that he is either. I am bothered that he's lumbering us with his retained list shambles which will probably end up with the better players leaving and the dead wood clinging on for dear life. Do we have to honour those offers? If so, then what a ****.

 

Ditto. I'm not fussed at all, at least we may attack some sides away from home this season. We're in for a bad season though if we have to honour the offers. I'm not too sure a new manager would want a few of pages favourites.
