One thing that has been a massive improvement this season is the use of the loan system, especially letting players go to other clubs, we must have loaned more times this season than in the last 5 years. Good for young players to get experience, good for fringe players to keep match fit- credit to Vale as there is often only moaning.

It hasn't quite worked out for him here has it?

 

He does possess the attributes you'd look for in that he's strong, well-built and has a good left peg, but he's been very inconsistent since being here, having a few great cameo appearances (normally off the bench) but at other times looking very out of sorts with a poor touch and not really involved in the games.

 

It's a puzzle. But I don't blame him wanting to play more games instead of sitting on the bench.

 

I hope he does well back at the Stags.

Hopefully won't play for us again, I'm as supportive as can be, however he's had more than enough of a chance here, & just don't think he has anywhere near the ability required for this level, as well as being that inconsistent.

 

Good luck to him though, it's nice to see ex-Vale players doing well (as long as it's not impacting or against us!).

Lazy signing by Adams. The game against Maidenhead did it for me.Either he was totally lacking in confidence or 'bone idle' Either way another illustration of the 'dross' left by Adams.

Like the chap had a decent shot on him too with good technique. something just lacking in the footballing brain I think for this level.

One good half against Fleetwood. The rest of his contribution this season has been useless.

He's scored an important goal this season....more than some of our forward options can say.

Spot on Al. All the best to the lad at the Stags. He's worth a contract at the end of the season should our ******** of a chairman slash the budget to the extent he keeps on bragging about in the middle of a season ticket push.

Agree not good enough for league 1 but still probably the second best striker we have in our squad. Just shows how weak we are up front.
