The word consortium scares me What are they after? Cause they ain't going make money unless they get us to the premier league and that will cost them millions and a big risk with a club our size

Maybe they just want fly over every Saturday to watch a game

 

It depends..instead of one person finding say 3m for a good go at it,if there are say 3 or 4 it reduces what each has to put in

That seems to me to be an accepted situation with Div 1/2 clubs. Why didn't Smurf know this? It certainly doesn't say much for his due diligence/business sense... surprising, when you realise how much he has made from his businesses. Or did other people actually run his other businesses for him?

I reckon this consortium is Donald Trump and his sidekick the delightful Sarah Palin. Why would they want the Vale, you ask? Simple - Buffon Don gets no questions asked entry to the UK because of his high profile UK 'business interests' and thus foreign investment (the Jock golf courses are too remote and obscure) and he gets Sarah away from her husband for a while on a 'business trip' where he can scuttle her in the Bycars bogs out of the view of CCTV (re-coiffuring his comb over on completion of hostilities). Afterwards, instead of the traditional cigarette, they can pop up to Cobridge for a spot of indiscriminate Muslim 'ass-kicking' that the well balanced harpie Sarah seems to particularly favour, safe in the knowledge they'll have the full backing of the club's famously racist fan base.

 

If you thought Norm could gain us notoriety through his statements to the media Donny Fartpants will take us to another level.

It could be argued that his business sense has stopped him pouring money in, and the need for a CEO when you own a business that you don't fully understand. The missed opportunity against Exeter highlighted the risks of football as a business. Was he the lead negotiator when the Vale was bought? Lots of lessons for the new owners if they are not familiar with English football, there is a fund of knowledge about if they know where to look.
