Rosler failed with Wigan and got the sack. He's another one like Poyet. Spends millions but ultimately a failure.

He was bankrolled by Matthew Benham, a multi-millionaire, at Brentford who put about £16m in the club.

Port Vale is an entirely different kettle of fish.

It hasn't gone as well as we would have wanted of late but Page deserves a rolling 12 month contract to see what he can do and then we'll take it from there.

I would argue we have played some decent football under Page, I certainly don't think it has got any worse.

Our obvious problem was addressed with Iniss, who got injured - but I accept that one loanee was not enough.

Signings-wise, only Campion has signed as far as I know - it's clear the loans have not all been RP's work.

I'm not sure what "typical Port Vale" means!

The style just seems the same to me, hoof it up to Pope? The only difference is that we mess about about the back with it more, passing from defender to defender a few times until someone launches it up field? We don't have any pattern to our play?

"Typical Port Vale" I mean is once we get within distance of the playoffs, we throw it all away with an abject performance. Teams that haven't won for weeks easily beat us. Poor teams you'd expect to beat at home beat us 1-0. Etc etc etc.

Sinnott was correct all those years ago.

Root to branch needed.

Why is that then? We're bigger than Brentford, he failed at Wigan who were non-league till the 1980's.
Money talks, both clubs had far more money than we have, when he went to them, history did not matter. I dont suppose he knew that the Bees had finished in the top 6 of what is now the Prem, for 3 seasons, in the 30s.

Brentford seasons in the Championship : 11

PVFC : 46

Brentford capacity and record crowd : 12763, 38678

PVFC : 19400, 49768

Brentford average attendance since the 1980's - 8476

PVFC : 9174

Whilst I can't be arsed getting into an argument about it, there are plenty of holes in the "we've been in the Championship for a long time" argument. Most of those 46 years were spent when the Second Division was also the bottom division in the latter 19th and early 20th century. Brentford have also been in the top division, whereas obviously we never have.

The past makes no ounce of difference to present day standings.

Their new ground is 20k, but they are unlikely to finish as the top team in London again.
