I agree about the club and the fans, horrible. The town is so depressing, too. It's one of the few places we can all legitimately look down upon. It's like going back in time.

Of all the teams fans to be saying 'we shouldn't be losing to teams like port vale' it shouldn't be them. A team that has spent pretty much the entirety of their existence in the bottom league. How deluded do you have to be to now be thinking that a third of a season of success means you can look down on other teams like that. The mind boggles at he mental gymnastics they must have to do in order to justify their opinion of themselves.

For some reason to Rochdale fans possession = domination.

 

I can only remember one testing shot from them, the volley from the edge of the box that Neal tipped over. The rest of the game they passed it ineffectually around the centre circle. Sometimes you have to accept that your tactic isn't working and try and change it but they seemed determined to walk the ball into the net.

We played there a couple of seasons ago and a car full of people from rochdale ran over some vale fans in a horrific hit and run.

Agree, I remember going there on our promotion season and thought it was the biggest dump I had ever seen! Coupled with the fan being run over, it was a horrible place.

Frankly, give me Burslem over their dump anytime!

 

Love when fans get bitter and post such drivel!

 

Also, do I recall they played in the bottom league for some ridiculous length of time without a promotion ? Lol.

One thing I'll add, we don't play football like that every week. The tactics used yesterday were to implemented to win that game- hang on....

I think that if we are to have an image that we are Neanderthals and play our footie in the bog water of a rat hole then we must be at least rated now by away fans. We spent too much time just treading water and being " the nice little club near to Sjoke City." Bring it on! Vale are now seen as actually existing and if the play on the pitch continues to improve along the lines of the last few seasons then even the bigger outside world may sit up and take notice. We are Port vale, here to stay and here to succeed!!

I agree with comment about the away stand, and in fact all stands. They are too shallow and the distance from the pitch all around doesn't make for a good atmosphere!

As above. I can sometimes see where away fans are coming from with their comments about Burslem (even though I don't particularly mind it) but Rochdale is the worst town I've ever been to watch the Vale. Those in glass houses etc...
