A Mourinho master class looks to have handed the title to City. Going to be a fascinating end to the season.

Wouldn't say it was a master class, they just parked the bus in front of their goal and let Liverpool come on to them hoping for a mistake from the opposition which sadly for Liverpool happened. Matteo won the Champions League for Chelsea playing exactly the same way. Stick 9 or 10 men behind the ball and it's difficult to break down as we saw today, Liverpool just couldn't get anything going.

I hope England use exactly the same tactics as Chelsea in the World Cup this summer.

If it was that easy everyone would be picking up points from City and Liverpool. Chelsea have now done the double over both of them and take. 4 points from Arsenal. Don't get me wrong, it certainly wasn't pretty but it was a well thought out game plan perfectly executed.

I'm a bit of a saddo and enjoyed the cat and mouse of todays game. The art of good defending seems to be overlooked these days and it was up to Liverpool to break Chelsea down and quite frankly they never looked like doing it. I appreciate the tactical nouse of Mourinho and love him or hate him he knows how to win games when he's up against it, he out thought Rodgers and in his interview Rodgers just sounded bitter and ungracious.

Agreed. If he hopes to approach the Champions League next season by going all out attack on away grounds he'll not last five minutes.

Rodgers sounded unbelievably bitter and twisted in his interview. Not sure if there's bad blood between him and his former boss but he reacted very badly. I did find his comment about playing the right way amusing given the reputation a few of his players have.

Mourinho got his tactics bang on. Instead of whinging, Rodgers should use the loss to work out why his team were unable to break down Chelsea without plan A.

Chelsea didn't play "dirty" in the nasty fouly sense - they played effectively in the situation. It may not have been pretty to watch but Mourinho's job is to get the best result .for his team at this stage of the season. At the sharp end of the season the result is paramount not the performance. Mourinho's job was to keep the Chelsea fans happy, not play an open, expansive game in order to keep the Scousers happy by giving Liverpool the room to play

Jose identified that Liverpool nave no Plan B so put in place what was needed to stop plan A and it worked..fair play to him

If Liverpool had had an old style centre forward to win the physical battle (plan B) they might have got something form the game.

Mind you if Gerrard hand't been day dreaming hey might have done so too
