This typifies the tripe you spout day in day out on this site, if you truly believe booing your own player when entering the pitch is correct & justified then I assume you joined the minority of morons today? As I stated I'm no Brown fan but that was a new low for me today.

Spot on.

A load of guff.

I find it useful personally, to back up feelings and points made on certain players. Like I'd agree no point having Stockley if balls aren't going into the box. I think a lot of people rate him for his aerial game but then we don't play towards it.

Where did he play yesterday?

Up front, but you can see all of his aerial duels are more for link up play, miles away from using Stockley as the main threat to actually score.

Compare that with Beesley getting on the end of crosses inside 6 yards.

Don't think he played up front all game. We seemed to transit from formation to formation, when defending, when attacking: 532, 4231, 4132. Hall didn't play as the right winger he would take up in a 433. Not defending him or otherwise.

However, I have also being questioning the effectiveness of G Hall in the last few games.

Also, regarding the stats, as a spectator, I can see for myself how effective, ineffective etc. a player has been based on their role on the pitch.

That's still the main way to judge people. The stats, maps and data just supplement it. Its not there to replace your initial judgement.

I was referring to Stockley - didn't realise you were asking about Hall.

What I will say on Brady is that if the club are going to be backing him in the summer then we have to at least give him the chance to build his own team(isn't that what we say for all new managers,so he is no different) and see how we do then

I’m judging a football manager on his past, his present and his future.

Now. Apart from the waffle he speaks, tell me what he has done at league one level, tell me what you have seen to think he takes us straight back up next season, and tell me what his identity is a Port Vale manager.

I don’t want a manager/coach to waffle on about an 8 or a 6 or I see him as a 10….. Get <ovf censored> with that over coaching football manager crap.

It stems from the top!

If Carol is that ill that she has delegated these positions for the running of the club then we are doomed.

Jon Brady is another politician. Explains his coaching philosophies. I’ve seen sky sports links. I’ve seen podcasts.
What has he ever done to be in such limelight?

On Brady you can’t deny he won promotion from L2 and managed to keep Northampton in L1 , so if your judging him on the past than that does suggest he could get us back up. I said at the time he’s a L2 ready appointment.

As for podcast and interview etc. that’s a manger keeping himself in fans limelight to stay relevant ready for the next job and fans don’t go who? It worked.

Brady has 500 games in management, even if the majority were in non-League. He took over Northampton when they were in the relegation zone halfway through a League One season, albeit their situation wasn't as hopeless as ours was/is. Failed to keep them up, rebuilt in League Two and had a failed playoffs campaign, then automatic promotion, then midtable in League One.

Moan about the present and worry about the future, but his past is exactly what we need.

Very true….we have signed a second division manager looking ahead to next season.

I don’t really go for all this kind of stuff, that said, I have said for a few weeks that George hall isn’t effective enough. Looking at that it proves it for this particular game. For all his promise he just doesn’t deliver enough. We need to get that right. No point having Stockley in the box if you don’t have both wingers peppering the box with crosses.

I also said this a few weeks ago. I think he flatters to deceive. It’s all good him being able to get in behind and run at people, but he has absolutely zero end product.

For any stats / data nerds out there, here's some maps from the game:

Gauchi's pass map, as ever, very funny.

WTF 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

no wonder why we cant win - training must be 90% looking at pretty pictures - looks like something the 1% quiz show would give out as the final question

I’m far from a snowflake

Im on the right side

And I think booing your own player is <ovf censored> embarrassing bet u woukd nir say a word if u were in front of him

Having had time to reflect on the game I thought we were disjointed throughout, lots of changes in formations, first half especially when George Hall was definitely more of a RWB but hardly got forward at all.

They had done their homework and ran at us whenever they could. We look like a rabbit in headlights when teams do this

Midfield was weak, they just passed around us or ran through us in possession and pressed to get the ball back when we passed it around the back.Missing our two best midfielders isn't helping

Stockley tried his best and won most of his headers but we're just not going to score enough goals to make us competitive

We haven't scored enough, teams score against us with minimal shots on target, yet I believe our real weakness is in midfield.
