I can’t believe a bid of 1 mill was turned down for him to sit on the bench

Did they say 7 figures? £10000.00

Soz, I'm fed up and i agree totally with packmoor, why turn down a million spunkies for RW but accept it for Todger (I know about the release clause)

Even if we'd sold him it would have taken him until about 2029 to commit to signing the contract. You know how things are.

We were saying this on Saturday.  Burton scored off a throw we’d conceded from a Gauci goal kick. Ok, we should defend it better but punting the ball into touch just repeatedly turns possession over throughout the game.  It looks a mental thing, overthinking,  Brady alluded to this at the fans forum.  One suggestion made in our group on Saturday was that we line up centrally and he simply kicks it down the middle, rather than aiming towards the wing and kicking it into touch.  That way he’s got a far bigger margin for error, plus his line of focus could be the opposition goal rather than seeing one of the side stands.

Gauci's kicking beggars belief and he must be frustrated by it especially after the 1st goal Saturday. On Saturday it seemed to improve off the ground when he side footed the clearance and didn't try and kick with power but he still didn't look confident when kicking out of his hands.

Surely it's his mechanics and they can be fixed with coaching and practice and subsequent confidence.

For me Waine was MoM on Saturday and dare I say if he's stayed on he may have converted the chance at the end, he may have got into position a fraction earler.

Waine seems to be either excellent in games or anonymous which is puzzling for a guy who can be all action and put himself around like he can.

I think what gets me with the subs is that we need points, taking people off because you're worried about them for the next game just doesn't sit right with me.

Worry about the 3 points in front of you, not the next game.

Yes, but we’ve got a big Vertu game coming up.

Walters out of all the midfielders we have has got to play from now on.

It’s not been working in there all season so it can’t be any worse.

Give him a run we’ve literally got nothing to lose by doing so.

Don’t think Walter’s works hard enough tbf which is something that has been alluded too. The amount of times people run past him is quite alarming for a young lad. Can’t remember the home game now but Croasdale steamed past him a few times. When that’s happening you know you have issues. Whether that’s something that can be fixed or not is another thing.

100% agree away from home but I don’t think our pitch currently suits his game

When was this alluded too, hear Brady say how hard he is working in training. I go to 90% of games and not witnessed him not tracking back. He is quicker than both Croasdale and Ojo and was part of the hardworking performance at Bolton.

Walters was our best player away at Reading and it was often thought Moore held him back for a big January sale, can't believe people thinking he doesn't work hard enough, for me he has to start especially as Ben is now out.

If you look at how Moore and Brady performed against the same opponents this season Moore managed to pick up 8 points and Brady has 4

I’m not sure we are improving.

Alternatively, Moore got 15 points from 21 games with his chosen squad.

We have managed 7 points in 7 games since he left - a point a game over a season would have us in the pack battling for safety, and most seasons see us the right side of the line (just).

Brady has 4 points from 5 league games plus 2 cup victories, and has lost Cole and Curtis for starters who have both gone straight into teams higher in the League.  He has a weaker squad than Moore had, and coupled with that their confidence is shot given we are so far adrift and have been for some time.

By comparison DM managed just 2 points from his first 8 League games as part of his ‘new manager bounce’ and that was with a team sat outside of the relegation zone at the time of his arrival.  This despite all the wives assurances 🤬

i have no idea if Brady is the answer - time will tell, but to dump this on him is at best premature - he has at least injected some passion and fight if nothing else.

Add this to the litany of poor decisions this season.

Was it? I dread to think what Moore would have done with the money.

He no doubt would have blocked sales of Curtis and Cole too.

By poor decisions, which one do you mean ?

The turning down of an apparent one million pound bid, or the fact that he's sitting on the bench ?
